Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Hope nothing too serious happens to Afridi.

Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Afridi is going to be in hot soup after he was caught on camera.

While play was suspended becose of the gas cylinder blast, camera's showed Afridi strolling onto the wicket and dig his heels in front of the crease. Unfortunately for Afridi, Darryl Hair spotted what had happened and has reported the incident to Inzimam.

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

England 113/3. End of day's play.

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

not much pressure being applied by Inzi on the new batsmen, surely we have enough runs on the board to risk men close in!

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

113/3 - end of day 2....
poor umpiring as always but i think pak shud win this match....

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

afridi could be in some trouble

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Afridi .. why did you have to do it :(

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Afridi could be in biiiig trouble. Especially now that he's whacked english bowlers so much.

Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

I suppose he'll be a suspended for a test or two. Might also have to give up his match fees. What most worrying is the bad influence on Pakistan cricket image. Sigh.

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Not only did he dig his heels in, he spun 360 degrees on them. Why did he have to do that? Pakistan was already in a pretty good position! Now not only will he have to pay a fine, but Pakistan’s performance will be tained!

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

What an idiot man. He should have asked one of the groundsmen to do that for him! Should have paid him like 50 rupees.

Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

^

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

so thats the reason …otherwise his act is justified …

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

No its not justified. Im just saying since he has made so many runs against them and he poses a great threat to them in next match they would definitely want his neck.

If he had made only 4 runs and got out or if he was Hasan Raza then nobody would have given a rats ass about him being banned or not.

Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Okay fine 100 rupees but not a rupee more! :hoonh:

Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

On second viewing it seems like he was just practicing his run up. Batsmen run down the wicket all the time, why is it a big deal when a Pakistani does it? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he has just whooped an overhyped bowling attack? Afridi should get away with a warning.

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

^ THat 360 degree thing sounds serious trouble. I havent seen the incident but sounds like a seriuos offence.

Why did he have to do it seriuosly? I mean there was no need for that. Inzi and Bob should make a big deal out of the Bell catch now and ask England to call it even. :D

I am afraid that relations between two teams are going to be damaged slightly after this test. :(

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

U have to be jokin. Guy digs his heel into the wkt, does a Michael Jackson spin and then runs causally in “middle” of the wicket. :frowning:

What he did was absolutely unacceptable by any standards…“Tampering with the wicket” is a serious offence. If we cannot criticize our players then we have no justification in pointing fingers at others for their wrongdoings.

By the way, this is not over, from the tone of Botham this is going to go all the way…

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

Yeah Saby,
Now the Brits can call it even…what an idiot, there was no need for such stupidity and more importantly where has he been playing cricket all this time? Doesnt he know this is wrong no matter unintentional, now all the criticism will point towards him and Pakistan. This can be called the height of stupidity.

Re: Pakistan V England 2nd Test Match, Faislabad

^ Yes it was a big blunder on his part. So many cameras these days, you can't get away with anything. It was unnecessary and tainted Pakistan's performance.
