Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Haider, Ajmal and Aamir

:d6c:

can they take double batting in place of our top and middle order batsmen? :hmmm:

no seriously

shame on our batsmen. Its seems like Aamir has the best defensive technique in the whole team right now and I am not saying this on the basis of this game only. In the whole series he has shown willingness to stay on the wicket.

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

shame on all these so called batsmen of ours....Zulqarnein, Ajmal and aamir are our new batsmen, even asif and gul played better than akmal and malik. Zulqarnein should be a permanent change in the team...kamran should stick to one days and t20s and if Umar akmal doesn't show signs of improvement then bring somebody else in in his place.

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

according to cricinfo "Just some final news for the day, Stuart Broad, who's been ratty all day, has been charged by the ICC match referee Ranjan Madugalle for throwing the ball 'inappropriately' back at today's hero Zulqarnain Haider. The level two offence carries the possible punishment of a one-match ban."

Anybody know what happened here?

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

ya he throwed the ball towards haider in anger n acc to rules he can get banned for 1 match

Poor Broad

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Zulqarnain Haider looks the part....looks like someone who can absorb pressure. I was impressed with his resolute batting, a fighting knock from him today. We need to persist with him.

Him and Ajmal have atleast saved us from complete humiliation

England should still win though

Had we taken our catches in the first innings despite the shambolic batting we could have set England a challenging target of 200+

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Yeah...Haider could frustrate the English bowlers...and get more English bans...lol...provided he maintains the attitude (through out the rest of the series) he exercised today... :D

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

lol he was really into the bowlers today he was teasing n taunting them n broad got pumped up :omg:

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

I did say that yesterday that today was going to be mostly sunny hence batting will be easier (for those who want to bat), tomorrow is going to be similar but hopefully more cloudy when Eng starts their batting

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

You can tell by just looking at the guy if he is a fighter or he will succumb to pressure. They played their hearts out..Ajmal took at least five blows on his body. True fighting spirit and gutsy performances. I hope it rubs off on other players and they come out fighting tomorrow.

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

This was one of better days of test match cricket that I have seen Pak play in quite a while...good old back to the wall, strong resistance by applying themselves (those who did) and not by being stupid ODI/T20 based aggression...Even though Pak were miserable, But i truly enjoyed today's play and this reminded me of how cricket is really meant to be fought!

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Poor :aj:

I think he has germs of Cafe :omg:
I think Tooth brother (kamran) should not be returned back and other tooth brother too :aj: …Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal , umar ameen must be replaced with Younis, Yousaf and Yasir Hameed or at least if they don’t want Younas then call Fawad Alam only for tests :aj:

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Pakistani Team should be like this, Amer, Ajmal, Gul, Asif and Zulqurnain, for the rest of the team you need some good fielders...

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

112 runs wud have been enough ..... If we just had Umer Gull and normal fielders (who can actually catch something)

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Hats off to Zulqarnain, Amir and Ajmal!

Kamran has a fight on his hands to get back in the team cuz Zulqarnain is a better keeper for sure and his fighting capabilities have really impressed one and all!

Hoping for a miracle today ;)

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

I think they should open the inning with Aamer and Saeed Ajmal in next matches :aj: … Gul is injured so no hope to out England below 100 :hinna: but if they brought Ajmal early and he picked up 4 wkts between 20 then the hope will love

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Asif gone! brat strikes..

England need 118 to win...

come on Pakistan!

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

Pakistan all out 296…just added 5 runs before the last wicket fell…

Target for Eng: 118…should not be a problem for them if something dramatic don’t happen…

PS: Pak bowlers should go for LBWs as the fielders are not trustable… :jhanda:

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

a gem from cricinfo:

A solid innings here would be a major boost, but Asif, Amir and Ajmal *(shall we call them the A-team?)** will fancy their chances against him. *

hahahahhaha! A-team.. well put!

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10

well said. the Application and determination was a sight to behold.

Re: Pakistan v England - 2nd Test - Aug 6-10
