I just support the team regardless of where the players are from :) Frankly I do not even look at or care about these things. If all the good players are from Karachi then so be it, if they are mostly from Lahore then good luck to them
That said I know that sifarish/corruption is deeply embedded in our selection system as it is in almost every sphere of life in Pakistan
Bottomline: Our batting is just not good enough at the moment
I don't want to search for any names. But let's say that some lads from Karachi are given a chance and they fail as miserably as current provincial team. In this case it will be proven for sure that we ARE having a batting crisis.
for someone who admits he doesn't follow the team closely, you sure have a strong opinion about the (imaginary) bias against Karachi's players.
Karachi's batsmen (Khurram Manzoor, Faisal Iqbal, Khalif Latif, Shahzaib Hasan, Fawad Alam, etc) have been tried as well and none of them have made a consistent case for themselves.

**
Manzoor** has played only 7 tests in which he average 30. Khalid Latif never played test, only 5 ODI with average of 29 Shahzaib Hasan played only 2 ODI matches with average of 31 Fawad Alam (who i personally like) played only 2 tests in which he average more than 40, he averages more than 40 in ODI
if you think about it,, these guys were never really given a decent chance. Still they average more than most players on current roaster.
Yasir Hameed should be given a decent change. His average isnt good for opener (35) but i have no doubt hell average in 40s if given few test series in a row. I remember he made two 50s in Australia in 1 match and still was dropped. If you give him one chance in test 4, imagine how much pressure hell be in thinking if i dont make 100 i might never play again
Also, lil while ago there was a guy named asim kamal or something like that (left-handed)... pretty decent middle order player from karachi, never really given a decent chance.
Give these guys as many chances as Kamran has been given
I truly believe yasir, fawad, asim would do better than most players on current roaster. Isn`t hard to beat BUTT 4 runs per inns.
tsk tsk. Such is the condition of this provincial cricket team that people are happy that it is not defeated at least in the worst imaginable way. Such positive thinking. Way to go.........
As if everybody is praising the current team. Is there someone happy with the current batting lineup?
You are saying what everyone else is saying, except you have to bring in provincialism.
Once again our bowlers have brought us back in the game. Ajmal was superb and showed exactly the kind of support our fasties were lacking... Kaneria was crap and has been that for a while.
*Salman Butt seems to be suffering from captaincy syndrome. He seems too nervous on the crease which was not the case till first test against australia. *
Lets hope remaining batsmen save us an innings defeat. I dont expect a win, but I hope for some fight from them rather than a meek surrender.
your joking right
if someone has a clip of his interview please let me know, i just can`t believe this. This is one of many reasons why where Australia is and where Pakistan is.
Waqar might be right…Pakistan are trained to take difficult catches only and not the simple one…might be below their standard…and they only bat in good conditions…and are able to lose the winning match and vice versa…
