Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012

A right old farce, Anderson reckons the fourth umpire has brought the wrong new ball out...England chose a different once before the start. So the fourth umpire is off to retrieve another box of balls and a result of this delay it's now **drinks.*
So the new cherry is now available, could England persist with the spinners. Nope, it's Anderson...crucial period in the game here, if England can strike it will definitely be there day. If Akmal and Misbah can once again get through the second new ball Pakistan will be feeling much happier by the close...

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012

Anderson to Adnan Akmal, no run, 123.5 kph, awful stroke and **dropped by Strauss.* Terrible cricket all round. It was such a disgraceful shot, reaching miles away from his body, and a big edge to first slip, Strauss went fingers down but should have done a Ponting with the fingers pointing up. Shelled it.

  • That's one wasted referral for England *

82.1

Anderson to Misbah-ul-Haq, no run, appeal for an lbw and England are **reviewing it*. Nips back from outside off, hits him on the top flap of the front pad and it's too high I'm afraid, therefore Oxenford's decision stays *

Pakistan 210/5 (82.2 ov)

It was supposed to be a placid pitch.
