So legendary Miandad was dead right about England afterall … though to be fair to England they did win the Ashes 3-1 in Australia in 2010/11
‘England No. 1 because of home advantage’ - Miandad

Are we seeing the death of test batsmen? Test matches are finishing in 3-4 days. There are hardly any test matches that go full 5 days let alone draws and wickets by no means are unplayable.
Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
**72 all out is England’s lowest score against Pakistan
**Their previous lowest was 130 — made on two occasions at The Oval in 1954 and Lahore in 1987.

I think it's good in a way. It should be an even contest between bat and ball. Batsmen have had their way for far too long with batting-friendly pitches, restrictions on bouncers which has taken the sting out of fast bowling IMO, umpires being hesitant to give them out LBW unless dead out etc. Technology/DRS has changed all that.
Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
WoW… Simply amazing. When I went to bed Pakistan was struggling at 180/7 and lead was only around ~95, so when I woke up I was thinking that our tail would’ve gone before 200 leaving 100-115 target for Eng which they will get with 2-3 wickets loss. As soon as I open Cricinfo I couldn’t believe my eyes, had to read it 2-3 times!

Lol! only Pakistan!
You give them a sniff, they go for the kill. I thought this was true only during the era of the W's but wow! speechless. Team effort yet again.
I think England loses it's #1 spot now, right?
Highlights guys! & Congrats All

No they won't lose their no. 1 ranking ... they will lose some points for sure
Even if England lose the third Test in Dubai, they will only lose top spot if South Africa win 3-0 in New Zealand in March

This pitch was not as flat as the one in Dubai. There was a bit in it for the seamers as well. Both Broad (5 wickets in the match) and Anderson had some success here

Re: Pakistan v England 2nd Test - 25-29 January 2012
Breaking news.
Bob Willis has just voiced his concerns over Abdur Rahman’s pehla. He blamed his action for Boycott’s sold house and asked ICC to do something about it and stop this injustice. When asked if he would let Boycott stay in his house temporarily, he refused and said “Do you think I am crazy? He would bet MY house in third match, where would I go then? thankyouverymuch!”
