I think it’s good in a way. It should be an even contest between bat and ball. Batsmen have had their way for far too long with batting-friendly pitches, restrictions on bouncers which has taken the sting out of fast bowling IMO, umpires being hesitant to give them out LBW unless dead out etc. Technology/DRS has changed all that.

Thats an important point you bringup Asif. DRS has changed umpire’s attitude considerably. In 80s and 90s, few batsmen were given out sweeping or if they were long way forward. Now these are given out. Many of the wickets that fell to arm balls would have bben not out in those days.
