The best partnership for BD against any country and it is still unbroken. The pitch looks dead.
Bangladesh 162/1 a partership of 150 runs. Allah Hamari team Per Rahem Ker...
There's nothing in this pitch for pace bowling, but the quality of Pakistan's spinners isn't up to test match standard on evidence so far. Shoaib Malik and Hafeez are great for one dayers but they aren't attacking enough to get batsmen out in the test matches.
the cricket displayed by pakistanis is pathetic… ![]()
Skukar hai Khuda 1 more wicket
Bangladesh 201/2 (74.5 ov)
Last Wicket: 180/2 (65.5 ov); Partnership: 167 runs, 60.4 overs, RR: 2.75
Habibul Bashar lbw b Shabbir Ahmed 97 (239m 167b 9x4 0x6) SR: 58.08
At the end of the DAY 1
Bangladesh 240/2 (90.0 ov)
Only two wicket on First Day for Pakistan..
The Bengali pussies have finally turned into tigers..:k:…
240/2 whoaaaa. looks like instead of us piling huge score Bengalis are set for a good score. now I really can say “Allah khair karay”, our batsmen may be in trouble. already miss Waqar n Wasim ![]()
We’ll only know that when they play somebody else. If they can do the same against New Zealand or England they might have a case, but I doubt it.
BD has played very well and deserve the applause. However I think it is too early to write off our batsmen. The pitch is dead and BD hardly have any bowler of repute. Wait and see.
I agree the BD batsmen deserve some credit, they have batted quite nicely on a lifeless pitch. BD bowlers are pretty poor but I expect they will try and frustrate our batsmen by bowling defensively and hoping our guys get themselves out. On these pitches we need some quality spinners like Saqi or Mushtaq and then I'm pretty sure you'd see these Bengalis getting skittled for less than 250. Still it was probably right to give the likes of Kaneria a chance, although I don't see the logic of playing Malik or Hafeez as spin bowlers in a test match.
So much for streaming young blood in the team! We are getting hammered by the bangs so bad..This is the time wehre you miss wasim and Waqar..I bet Sami would have had also struggled in this pitch where pace isnt any factor.
Like Xtreme mentioned..having both shoaib and hafeez on the same team isnt a good idea. WE should have learned from the first test and included another strike bowler.
If we don't get the bungs out early by tomorrow we are heading for a graceful draw or a defeat depending how our batsmen cope up with the average attack.
I really don't care if its a new team or young or whatever we just cannot head for anything less than a win. SImply no excuses!!!I would blame this defeat on the coach captain and the management. Looking at our performance the aussies are like light years ahead of us...Sad display by pakistanis! The bungla cannot get so good in just matter of weeks..its not possible..Something is wrong within our team..
If the unexpected happens..SErioulsy I would lose my confidence on Javed and Rashid...
once again our selection committee gets a bite in the A$$.
What the hell are they trying to prove by playing Shoaib Malik and M Hafeez in the same team, like someone said, either you play a strike bowler or a specialist batsman, or atleat a decent allrounder who can take wickets.
And I thought Dinesh Kaneria will be the next big thing for Pakistan after Saqi, but he has been dissappointing.

This is what we'll have to do, I hope our batsmen can give a stronger reply and not make Bengalis look like a big team.
I agree, the pitch is soooo pathetic to say the least. I mean Shoaib bowled a full throttle short pitch deleivery and it got up sooooooooooooooooo sloely from the pitch and batsman was able to pull it in front of square.
IMO, only sporting pitch in pakistan is in Faisalabad that has always produced exciting test matches. Other pitches just suck.
pathetic na. so much for the world’s best bowling attack and oh yes, our self proclaimed destroyer, Shaoib Akhter.
let’s see aab hamery batsmen kiya gul khilatey hein.

They must have changed Faisalabad recently. It used to be the dead-est wicket in Pakistan. It was in Faisalabad that Lillee, out of sheer frustration, made the statement, that he'd like to be buried there.
The fastest pitch used to be Gujranwala. Sadly, the venue is only fit for a one-day match.

umm i dont know about recently but i remember some three-four great test matches on faisalabad pitch. One agianst SA in 1997, one against WI way back in 87. etc etc... They were quality pitches assisting both batsmen and bowlers.
Although the pitch at Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar looks greener on top, it really isn't. It is actually the naswaar spitted out by the local pathan maali.
