Pakistan V Bangladesh - Test and ODI series.

BD 170/4

Shoaib 2/43

BD 180/5

Kaneria took the wicket of Rajan Saleh for 26.

one more wicket and the bengali tail will start, which Shoaib could rip through...

BD have got about 100 runs more than they should have. Hafeez should be picked solely as a batsman for test cricket and I agree that we are a bowler light going into this game. Either Saqlain or another seamer should have been picked instead of Misbah, we don't need so many batsmen against a substandard bowling attack like BD. Sounds like they batted well though continuing from a couple of good knocks against the Aussies.

BD 251/7. Quite a respectable score. Well played.

Kaneria 3/50.

I think though Bangladesh scored more runs than they should have but as Rashid said in an interview that he would like to get a long test match in atleast one of the matches and a rather tough one, i think its good for the ni9rexperienced duo of umar and Shabbir.

Saby bhai I hope you are not trying to cover up for Rashid and the teams incompetent display today. Let's just agree that BD played well today and they deserved the runs. If they scored more runs then they should have, then look at the reason for that. Was it bad captaincy, bad selection, poor fielding, poor bowling or just good display of batting by BD. I think a mixture of all the above.

Lets hope we can regroup better tomorrow and come up trumps. Display like this against SA and we will be butchered.

BD finish the day at 278/9.

Scorecard:

bengalis have a day of cricket they will not soon forget, knowing our brittle batting, this might prove to be an extremely tough target not to mention we have to build a lead on it. Still, they are almost all out in one day so a decision will be forthcoming.

I aint covering for anyone Ehsan bhai, i know they didnt play as well as they should have, and Bangladesh did the opposite. And i agree with all the reasons you stated up there but one thing i would like to point out, atleast i did not expect our bowlers to just go through the bangladeshi team and thats exactly what happened.

P.S What happened to Rashid though???

Saby bhai tusi khush raho saadi khair ayee.

Rashid got hit on the hand rather awkwardly and had to go off. Taufeeq Umar took over behind the stumps. Hopefully he will be back tomorrow.

278/9  I hope Inzimam and Youhanna can show their worth otherwise, naozu-billahi min shuru anfusina, wa-sayyi-ati a’malina

We'll rattle up 500 against this lot, and if we don't we should play the U-19 team instead and let them have a go.

that’s funny

278 in only 83 overs is a bit quick for a team like BD against a team like Pakistan. I think the first day honors go to BD. At leat the BanglaDeshis are playing positive cricket.

not bad performance for pakistan considering bangladesh scored 290 in a inning in aus.

well played bondouus good total rather unexpected by a lot of ppl but dev watmore has done a decent job since taking over the reigns.

pakistani bowlers were slack at times, rashid latif got a blow to the hand i believe but ater x rays the paki’ camp were given the green light he’s fit to field tomorrow…

** p.s " how many ppl actually turned up to watch the match :hehe:
40 + :hehe: " **

Pakistan played fairly well. I really think that BD is improving, although it may be really slowly. 270 is not too bad. Umar Gul's stats were'nt too impressive. They should play that other young left arm fast bowler they selected.

Well played Bangladesh, they have done well.
I heard Pakistani bowlers bowled awfully today and most of the wickets taken were thrown away from the Bangali batsmen.
