Pakistan v Australia, 2nd ODI, Dubai (24th April)

Re: Pakistan v Australia, 2nd ODI, Dubai (24th April)

Australia need 208 to win. Difficult pitch to bat at. lets see how we bowl today. Another repeat of the first match would be nice..

(cricinfo)

Pakistan will rue the fact that they didn't bat out 50 overs. 207 is competitive, but the Australians will back themselves to chase it down. However, Pakistan, on this pitch, will again bank on their spinners to do the job. The seamers started it well for Australia, and Hauritz bowled well in the middle overs to keep the run-rate in check. Wickets fell at fairly regular intervals, and the Pakistan batsmen struggled to get partnerships going. Had it not been for that late flourish from Shoiab, they wouldn't have passed 200. Their bowlers, though, have a fighting score to defend, but Australia would have worked hard on the areas they faltered in the last game. Join us in some time for what should be a very interesting run-chase.

When you’ll reach there Aisha?:hinna:

Attention everyone re. change in rules (cricinfo)

Ahmed Shehzad was in fact legitimately OUT. Though we thought Butt was the one who had to go, we just got to know that the laws have changed. When two batsmen end up at the same end, the batsman who has left his end to reach the other is the one who is out. Butt, in this case, returned to the non-striker's end where he originally was. Shehzad, though, left the striker's end to be stranded on the other side of the pitch. Hence, according to the new rules, he has to go. Tony Greig clarified the rule towards the end of the innings.

Re: Pakistan v Australia, 2nd ODI, Dubai (24th April)

I am not watching this game. What is the nature of the pitch in Dubai ?

In an era of 300+ ODI scores, it seems odd that teams would struggle to make 200.

Re: Pakistan v Australia, 2nd ODI, Dubai (24th April)

Re: Pakistan v Australia, 2nd ODI, Dubai (24th April)

Missed Pakistans batting but watching the bowling. Game is going well. Australias required run rate is 4.45...this is still in anyones favor.

Why do some people keep thinking that Pakistan will lose...why not give credit where credit is due? The pitch doesnt seem to be working in either teams favor and both teams seem to be struggling with the batting and bowling.
