@ Fayz : True. That is sadly our problem. 250 is simply not a good enough first innings score in tests. But one should also blame the fielders (3 dropped catches + 2 missed runouts) for not backing the bowlers well and letting Australia pile up 450 odd in the first innings
@ Antumul Alona: Not sure about Misbah (as we do not have many other bright options plus he did get some runs in the first innings) but I definitely do not want to see Imran Farhat, Abdur Rauf and Faisal Iqbal playing in the next test
sorry I don't think I made a comment about misbah...as far as i am concerned he is still a question mark, though he showed some backbone and resilience in the first innings knock of 65 not out.
Well well.........for the time being I will keep my comments to myself as don't want to give more stomach pain.
Reasons for the jokers loss:

Do you think that if one your heroes Javed was the head coach - would that have made much different to the team performance?
Have you heard any commets from him for the loss?
Who would he be critcising this time. If there was a foreign coach than surely he would open his big mouth and start blaming them.
He should coach and improve his nephews batting skills first.

I think they lost due to:
1) Imran Farhat (even though he scored a century in NZ, it doesnt mean he is test level opener).
2) Salman Butt, he is better than Imran Farhat, Taufeeq Umar & Imran Nazir, yet still not test level.
3) Faisal Iqbal - this No.3 spot has troubled Pakistan for years and Younis Khan stabilized it.
4) A fifth bowler/genuine alrounder. He could have played instead of Misbah or Faisal Iqbal. I dont mean Abdur Razzaq here. He is not test material anymore.
5) Abdur Rauf, he didnt bother any of the Aussie batsmen but does seem like a good build/height but at 31, he cannot be developed into a test bowler. In the end, it seemed like Pak was playing only 3 bowler.
6) We missed Kaneria through injury.

Please don't bring up his century in NZ at all, if you had watched it was full of flukes and luck, thats all... it had no character of a 'Test match century'.

That century is worth 9 & 12 runs infront of a setup like the aussies. Kiwis could did not have their basics right to get him out.

at least we have a championship, the same championship which your team and nation thought was a matter of just going to England and taking it but got whipped badly. Till you can win one championship live in denial.
