I think they r terrified just to be there at the MCG ..... overwhelmed by the occasion ..... i just don't know what it is but they looked from the 1st ball like waiting for something to happen .... This way another 3-0 drubbing looms

Even if his batting a matter of Luck but more important his Bowling will be a handful in Sydney

We need some senior players in the team, ... I am sensing Yousuf does not like senior players (age + experience) in his team, look at the team, age and match played! the most senior you will find is Kamran Akmal ... something alarming!

This match will be over in 4 days. Guys just realize that we have sent a club leve team (from OZ standards) and they will play us like that. Even with Younis and Afridi in team, we can barely manage a draw out of three matches. We need to sort out our opening problems. Afridi is 100 times better than Farhat on any day. Send Kamran on top and play Afridi lower down the order, but we need him for his bowling. He can do long spells with Ajmal/Kenirea.
Also, Gul is still a better choice over AR.

Australia NEVER enforces the follow on. Even if Pakistan gets out before lunch tomorrow, Australia will almost certainly bat.

Since ur wishes come only party true (in regards to IND thrashing SL) i see rather a 4-5 day finish or maybe even a Draw if some of our Batting-Heros think & fight it out before gifting away their wickets :)

How can we overcome our continuing batting woes in Australia? I have been following Pakistan tests in Australia since 1989 and this is how we have always batted there! The current Aussie batting is solid rather than awesome, there are no demons in the pitch or in the bowling - their bowlers are not world class; certainly not in the same league as McGrath & Warne - yet we have batted against them like they are the same invincible team (1999-2007). Barring a rearguard solid batting performance we are now possibly staring at another big defeat inside 4 days. We have won only 4 and lost a whopping 18 tests in Australia
Is Osman Samiuddin right when he talks of fear and lack of confidence in our players to take on Australia

And as always the bowlers were badly let down by the fielders

^^ GA, in 95 there was one game at SCG that was won by Pak..where Mushi took 9 wickets and Ijaz scored a 100
Butt is playing decent if you ask me. As long he is not throwing away his wicket. Yes he is playing scared and very defensive but this is not a twenty20 or an ODI. Take your time and build your innings. We are known for giving away cheap wickets. Securing wickets is more important than run rate in this inning.
Sherrybaba..there a difference between playing defensively and playing negatively, Salman is always more of a negative player than defensive...unless he is playing against BD,ZIM, India.
Securing wicket is important but more in 2nd inning when u r also trying to kill the time NOT in first inning where basically with that attitude you are setting yourself and team for failure.
