Arab militant found new Jihad in Malakand. Malakand has a long history of Sharia movement lead by TNSM filled with Wahabi Arabized followers.
TNSM or Tehnirk Nifaz Sharia Mohammadi[Movement to enforce Sharia of Sufi Mohammad and not Mohammad pbuh] came into being in the 1980s. It had the full support of Al Qaeda’s money. That money was channeled from the Wahabi Charities in Saudi Arabia to build madrassahs and mosques.
Why it will get worse before it gets better?
Wahabi charities have prepared the militancy ground work for 20 odd years while Pakistani intellectuals slept in their comfy drawing rooms.
Pakistani intellectuals who are typically left leaning or full-on left leaning want to use these Jiahdis to defeat American agenda in the region.
Now that Iraqi sunnis have kicked out most of the Al Qaeda, most of those militant Arabs are coming to Malakand.
Uzbeks defeated in Wazirastan are also finding fertile ground in Malakand.
Pakistani courts and human rights activists, and many politicians want to negotiate with TNSM, knowing fully well, that Sharia implementation is the goal (and nothing less) of TNSM.
Pakistani politicians like NS are so emotional at this moment, that they are unwittingly supporting the AQ terrorists by creating anti-army campaign.
I just hope and pray that Pakistan and Pakistan army could deal with this grave danger to the soverinity of our beloved country.
Otherwise the Arabs will successfully bring home the NATO and the US army as the have done so successfully in Iraq, UAE, and Afghanistan.

Interesting, but on the other hand how can you be so sure that in point 1,2 Pakistani Intellectuals been sleeping? According to the Intellectuals of Pak they did a pretty good job, while actually US and the Rest of the World was sleeping preparing these Freedom Fighters to fight Almighty and yet very weakened Russia (USSR). Only USSR knew about the actual threat at that time.

How do you know they are kicked out? I think they are still there and resulting in bombing every now and then.
And how are they "coming to Malakand" in case some of them are leaving Iraq? I mean ground transportation, air, sea? What is our "army" doing to stop them from coming? Why was our army sleeping all this time?

However Malakand is not a Western issue, it is very much Pakistani issue, and it must be fully exposed by Pakistani media. Unfortunately they are two busy covering two bit mullahs and their anarchist friends aka lawyers.
