The silly shots have come about trying to up the rate which is not easy to do opnce you allow the bowlers to get on top by not keeping the scoreboard moving.
I maintain that it's fine to see off the new ball, but after that you have to look to get moving against the second rate bowlers. Rashid must be disppointed to have got out against such medicre bowling.

do u think we will be able to score up to 250?
Get lost Xtremeo, what will it take for you to compliment the English bowlers? They're doing a great job yet all you keep going on about is how bad Pakistan are batting. The bowling is not mediocre, far from it.
Give credit where credit is due please.

I agree, but the pressure was on right from the first ball as the first wicket fell and then second one went very quickly as well. That build up the pressure. If those wickets would not have gone down the situation would have been different. Now consolidation is required.
Still not to worry, this sort of things are bound to happen as these lads gain experieince. Good to see Yoyo coming back into form.

I think the pressure has come through from losing wickets by playing silly shots rahter than any instructions from Javed.

yes Yasir and Rashid played silly shots while Shoaib Malik was too casual not to be run out.
Sobi, the bowling right now is absolute sh*te. The only reason they aren't getting tonked to all parts is because of the loss of key wickets in stupid fashion like the run out and Rashid's failure. Englands' good bowlers are at the opening spell, Anderson and Gough the rest are county standard rubbish.
And that's a fact.
Pakistan is no way batting like Minadad, maybe except Youhana, but Miandad never really kept the rate down, he kept taking singles to keep the RR around 4 but today we are around 3.5 constantly.

we would be so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so luky to get 200 runs ... something for the bowlers at least sigh :(

yes and that awful run rate is what creates the pressure. You have to get singles regularly and that didn't happen leading to stupid shots.
thats why i belive pinch hitters are required around the first 15 overs, its OK to lose their wickets but their 20 runs in 10 balls always gives the side a little confidence.
Oh grow up Xtreme, and stop being such a bad loser.
Pakistan are playing crap and England are playing great. It's as simple as taht.
Sadi, even Vaughan agrees that apart from Anderson, Gough and Giles the bowling is weak. You should be thankful that our players are making your bowling look respectable. It is nothing special. BTW why were you not posting on tuesday.
If Yoyo, Azhar and Razzaq stay till the end you might still be facing a formidable total.
azhar on a roll 2 good 4s.
wtf?
Take that Sadi Fobi, 3 fours in one over.
great move by Vaughan to bring back Flintoff. he knows that the other bowlers are so medicre and he's trying to make a crucial breakthrough at the right time before we start lamping the likes of Mgrath and Giles.
