Youhana really needs to clean up his act now. And the future kaptaan as in Younis Khan should also perhaps consider contributing some runs to the total.
losing to a county team this badly is pretty embarassing.

Yoyo merde tête, What is hell is wrong with him, embarassing to see Pakistan team play, accept Yasir & Shoaib Malik everyone played pathatic. I hope they learn from this loss any play better in next Match.
Again a pathetic display of batting by our so called "specialist batsmen." Youhana went for a duck on the first ball, and Younis only scored 16. Once again Shoaib Malik scored 35, which was the second highest score. We can't expect him to save the Pakistani team from losing every time do we? Mohammad Hafeez once again failed miserbly. I don't undertsand why he's still in the team. He's a less than average bowler, and a pathetic batsmen. Misbah should be given a chance in place of him. Also, Extras continue to be a problem and Sami is the biggest contributer to this. He really needs to work on this problem, because it is a serious one. Extras can be the difference between winning and losing.
But there were some positives from this game. Bilal Asad, I think he can probably be a good opener and should be given more chances to open as he certianly scored a lot more runs than Hafeez. Imran and Asad would be a good opening pair for Pakistan. Yasir Hameed, The guy played brilliantly. I think he should be sent down the order and not at #3. I think him and Shoaib Malik would make a deadly combination in the middle order. From the first time I saw him play in Dambulla, I knew this guy had talent and good technique and he showed that today by scoring a lot more runs than any other Pakistani batsmen.
Can anyone who saw the game tell me how Imran Nazir got out? Because if he got caught in the slips because he just nicked the ball then that means he hasn't changed anything in his technique! :( I hope that's not the case!
I hope they give Misbah a chance now and settle with an opening pair to play all three ODIs by the next match.
Azhar will probably take Hafeez's place and Misbah can take Yoyo's because he seems burned out. Yasir Hameed and Bilal Asad were great. Do you guys think that Younis will keep playing or do you think they're going to give him a break also?
Youhana needs a break from international cricket just like Inzi did, he will be fine when his batteries are charged.
Glad to see a slap on the face of PCB specially for not picking Inzi and or Saeed bhai.
^^ :k:

Pakistan’s Shoaib Akhtar, second right, congratulates Essex’s Andy Flower, left, on his 100, watched by Pakistan’s wicket keeper Yasir Hameed, center, with Shoaib Malik, right.
Well, what can I say. The batting department flopped big time. Pathetic! Youhana and Younis were the main concern, again. How in the world Yoyo gonna lead the team in the next coming years? The guy needs a break, really. He was poor in form in the World Cup, Sharjah tournament was above average, Bank Alfalalah Cup flopped. Younis Khan, on the other hand, becomes a player around 15-30 runs. This is not what I expected from him either. Since these two talented players are having trouble to settle themselves, I wonder what Team management is thinking? Why don’t they give a chance to Misbah-ul-Haq? Team Management! ![]()
Good performance by Yasir Hammed. Certainly, got himself settled. Bilal Asad looked to me a promising opener; and seems like Nazir-Hammed duo could work. Mohammad Hafeez had another bad day, No? He wasn’t even economical with the ball.
While Shoaib Akhtar bowled average, Sami had trouble. Again, he overstepped the line and threw the ball away thrice, bowled one extra over. Both fast bowlers didn’t seems to be a threat for Andy Flower, who smashed a century. Kaneria had a bad bowling day.
Have a look at the extra runs giving by Pakistan(29 runs) & Essex(8 runs). Sheesh! ![]()
Pakistan’s next warm-up match with Northamptonshire @ Northamptonshire.
An absolutely crappy performance from the Pakistani team today. Early wickets, extras, ducks, expensive bowlers and what not?
I thought Miandad has signed the contract to help them but they STILL haven’t fixed the extras. ![]()
In a way it served the Pakistani selectors right since they haven’t picked the best available talent. Imran Farhat, Humayun Farhat, Abdur Rauf are a few really talented players who deserve to be in the Pakistani squad.
all in all a very poor captaincy by yohana....
i think pcb shud re-think its move of making him vice captain....
he has performed bad on the couple of occasions he was trusted with the lead....
Century for Flower as Essex overwhelm Pakistan](http://uk.cricinfo.com/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/CRICKET_NEWS/2003/JUN/194459_CI_09JUN2003.html)
Andy Flower scored a magnificent unbeaten 115, his first century of the season, as Essex overwhelmed Pakistan by 50 runs at Chelmsford. Flower carried his bat and hit 11 fours in a 128-ball innings, and was well supported by James Foster, who may yet feature in the NatWest Challenge against Pakistan if Chris Read fails to recover from a broken thumb. Foster scored 56 in a 90-run partnership for the second wicket, while Ravinder Bopara made 46, the highest score of his fledging career.
Essex’s hefty total of 284 for 6 was always going to be a tough challenge for an inexperienced Pakistan team, who were given a rough ride in the opening match of their tour against Scotland at Glasgow. And when Graham Napier removed Imran Nazir and their stand-in captain, Yousuf Youhana, with consecutive deliveries, the target looked extremely distant.
Nick Denning then joined in with the wickets of Bilal Azad and Younis Khan, before Yasir Hameed and Shoaib Malik added 58 for the fifth wicket in even time. But, before they could put Essex back under any sort of pressure, Shoaib and Mohammad Hafeez were run out in quick succession.
The end was nigh when Joe Grant extracted Yasir for an excellent 82, although Essex were made to wait by a spirited counterattack from Mohammad Sami and Shabbir Ahmed, who added 42 for the ninth wicket. But Bopara completed a memorable day by picking up both men in swift succession.
Misbah & Faisal Athar
I think Misbah & Faisal Athar should get a chance to paly in next match.
disappointing performance against a team only contianing 4 senior players nd rest were 1st caps given this fact i won’t be surprised if pakistani cricket team loses to sunday league side lashings

:k: keep it up paki team
Shabbir Ahmed(23) alone scored more runs then Imran, Youhana, Younis and Hafeez combined. I think this figure tells the whole story of our batting collapse....:(:(
