RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to contact Interpol to bring former president Pervez Musharraf back to Pakistan in the Benazir Bhutto (BB) assassination case.

ATC Judge Rana Nisar Ahmed has already issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Musharraf three times.

The court observed on Saturday that since there was delay in the implementation of summons, why not those arrested in connection with the former prime minister’s assassination were released on bail.

Counsel for the FIA asked the court to declare Musharraf a proclaimed offender (PO). Upon this, the judge asked how come the court could declare somebody a PO.

The counsel said the court could declare Musharraf a PO keeping in view that its summons were repeatedly falling on deaf ears and the accused was not willing to show up.

The judge remarked that first implementation of the court’s orders was ensured. “Unless the court’s directives are implemented, the accused cannot be declared a PO,” he said.

Khalid Rasul, FIA’s investigation team member, informed the court that letters had been written to the British government in connection with the implementation of arrest warrants for Musharraf. “Although, there does not exist an agreement between the two countries under which the accused can be extradited, still there is a possibility that Musharraf can be handed over to Pakistan,” he said.

The team further told the court that a request had been submitted to the Ministry of Interior to bring Musharraf back to the country.

Upon this, the court ordered the team to contact Interpol to bring Musharraf back and adjourned the hearing till April 2.

Speaking from an Indian point opf view,I do not want to see him arrested. He was pragmatic brave leader.

Or in other words both did their best to make people of pakistan to become slaves of Sam in 20 and 21st century. Pakistan is now in chains of slavery. Some people deliberately misguide particulary coharts of JI which itself getting $ dollars from Sam and co and speak otherwise, the bigger hypocrates than Abullah Bin Ubai during prophet Mohammad's time who was whemently condemned in Holy Quraan.

Normally I don't respond to this kind of stupid rehtoric. Read my earlier post again, if you have difficulty in understanding, get some help. When I said people of pakistan are now slaves, not only PPP but all who live in Pakistan are slaves. Bondage is quite strong, it will take u-turn again and years to come out of this bondage.

Man every time I see Mushy’s face, it reminds of good old days:

Pakistan was moving forward, economy was one of the fastest growing in the world with around 6 percent GDP growth, balance of payments was maintained hence no IMF, Reserves of 16 billion dollars without IMF, rupee was at 60 to a dollar, a super hot job market, one could switch job any time he/she wanted, newspapers were filled with tons of jobs every week (I remember Dawn’s job section on Sunday was like a thick booklet and now it is of one or two pages only), inflation was under control, one could live happily on a 20,000/month salary.

Now you have none of that :hinna:

Economy was good,
Because loans were rescheduled and some grant
At the cast of national integrity.
Another reason was an attempt of investment by Pakistanis abroad after 9/11 but they were badly looted by land mafia and share market etc. No project.
Result
Taliban,drones and shortage of electricity.

This is just politics. There is nothing meaningful. If Mushy stands trial I want Zardari to also stand trial. Whilst were at it get Nawaz too...
All of them have broken the law and are liable for prosecution....
