Pakistan to fully cooperate, track down Siestan attackers: Gilani

It seems the pressure from the Iranians has worked. Inspite of claiming that Pakistan had no connection to the terrror outfits, it has been made to agree to cooperate in taking action terror infrastructure inside Pakistan. Good maturity shown by Pakistan PM … he needs to take concentrated action against such terror group that are using Pakistani soil.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said that Pakistan will fully cooperate with Iran to help track down and punish those behind heinous terrorist attack in the province of Siestan.Talking to Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Muhammad Najjar and his delegation at the PM House, Prime Minister Gilani extended deep condolences to the government and people of Iran over the loss of human lives in the terrorist attack in Siestan.He recalled that Pakistan had in the past extradited some of the criminals to Iran after their arrest by Pakistani security agencies.

The Zardari Gilani duo must hold the world record for statement reversals. Poor guys, but then those are the cards they got dealt.

But it is heartening to see that Pakistan is finally taking it seriously and want to control terrorism in all sides. Double games whether with India, USA, China, Afghanistan or Iran always have come back to bite them where it hurts.

Gilani has not said anything new, Pakistan mainatians that it has no connection with these terrorists and if any of these are hiding in Balochistan it will co-operate, and it has in the past too, AFP: Iran says Pakistan hands over four rebels

Pakistan has handed over to Iran four Iranian rebels, including the brother of a Sunni militant group’s leader in restive southeastern Iran, state media reported on Saturday.
The handover took place as part of a security pact between Iran and Pakistan, which borders Sistan-Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran, state television said.
Abdolhamid Rigi, the brother of Abdolmalek Rigi, ringleader of the shadowy Jundallah group, was handed over to Iran on Friday night, the official IRNA news agency said.
