sms can be monitored in real time and easier to track and information is written and more easier for agencies to decrypt than live calls, putting ban in SMS is really a crazy idea,
banning or jamming communication would also jam radio communication of Police and other security agencies as they also fall under same band, but a sophisticated approach can actually be used to jam such communication.

I don't see anything wrong with that. Indian govt banned internet and phone service in occupied Kashmir to prevent freedom fighters from using those facilities.

maybe its a genius move. after all, i doubt the roaches were using sms before this, everyone knows how easy they are to intercept and decrypt. But now, rehman is saying we'll ban SMS so they figure wow they're really numbskulls. lets all text each other with the ufone unlimited sms plan.

well now the operation is taking place, they actually did shut down the GSM networks in the area, including the PTCL, and wimax etc and also cut the power off so even communication via live calls on the live media doesnt get received in the area.
