Thankless Afghanis had it coming to them. What did Pakistan get after housing and feeding four million afghanis for 20 years? Pakistan has given almost $300 million in aid to Afghanistan and in return we get bad mouthing from Karzai on daily basis. Pakistani tribesmen back Afghan border fence

Tribesmen from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) have announced support for the government’s decision to fence the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, but opposition to mining. In a grand jirga on Saturday, tribesmen said the measure would bring an end to the Afghan authorities’ accusations of terrorist infiltration. Tribal elders Malik Saifullah, Malik Gul Rahman, Malik Said Nawaz and Mushtaq Shalozani from North and South Waziristan and Kurram Agency addressed the jirga.

Pakistani tribesman, they said, had no role in the deteriorating law and order in Afghanistan. The fencing of the border would not divide families, they said, but “increase love among tribesmen”. They said the people of the tribal areas had chosen to join Pakistan and were not taken into confidence earlier when the Afghans and the British made the Durand Line deal. The jirga opposed the mining of the border saying the measure would risk the lives of innocent people and wildlife.

Most of the so-called 'pashtuns' who talk alot of stuff of anti-pakistan stuff are actually Afghan citizens, and alot of them arent even pashtun but rather native dari speakers who have developed alot of anti-pakistan sentiment because Pakistan supported the taliban(which was 100% pasthun) regime, and most of the Afghans dont even live in Afganistan, and are rather expats living in western countries. And alot of them are very uninformed, for example this Afghan once tried to claim Kashmir should become part of afghanistan because Kashmir has historically been a part of afganistan! And then they try to claim anythign that doesnt support what they say(anything!) as 'propaaganda'(the fghan then tried to state that ppl who say Kashmir wasnt a part of afganistan were brainwashed!!!

And about the sutiation of what pakistani pashtusn think of afghans, just go to ANY pashtun city in nwfp or balochistan, and ask your selves and theyll tell you. Alot have resentment towards afghans because they bring illegal goods(charas, afyum, heroin etc etc) and are very much involved in things like kidnaping, extortion etc.

Well I am astonished how we set the criterion to be a good Pakistani. Anyone who hates Afghans is supposed to be a good Pakistani. I dont understand this analogy at all. If Karzai has done something wrong that doesnt mean he represents the sentiments and emotions of all Afghans.
This may be true in case of Darri speaking Afghans who are normally anti-Pakistani but not all Afghans.
I am also astonished as somebody suggests Punjabis to be better Pakistanis than others. If NWFP, Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab are the parts of Pakistan so every citizen of these parts is as good or bad Pakistani as any Punjabi may be. We should not doubt others loyalty and why others should show their loyalty to you at all.

No one supports mining of the border… I supported the mining before but I think its counter productive since it will only increase enmity towards the govt. I hope the govt understands the wisdom of not using mines.

Who said Punjabis are the only good Pakistanis? If anything, Punjabis are the least informed and most insulated of all Pakistanis.. Perhaps thats why they are so maligned…

Afghans have been fed a lot of propaganda towards Pakistan from the day of its birth… If the Afghan govt had been wise enough to understand the futility and obvious danger of creating such a bitter legacy fifty years back, relationship would have been a lot less tense to this day.
