In fact, the main problem they had was a potential shortage of bombs rather than aircraft.

That is not really true... The recent advancement in GPS precision has even allowed them to use concrete, instead of explosives to destroy a target, since the targetting systems have been very precise. It was in IEEE's Spectrums last month issue, its a paid subscription, I can paste it if its allowed here...

Musharraf told Reuters in Pakistan on June 15 that many Pakistanis feel short-changed by Washington, even though Islamabad has received over a billion dollars in debt forgiveness and hundreds of millions in aid since throwing its weight behind the U.S. terror war.
A senior U.S. official told Reuters that Bush will offer Musharraf a commitment “for a long-term stable relationship with Pakistan in which we work together on a number of different fronts, fighting the war on terrorism, expanding economic opportunities, helping … with his reform agenda and working on issues related to frictions between India and Pakistan.”
Absent in what the “senior US official” told the Reuters is any mention of what Mush wants the most - Arms (F-16)…

Because it is so much more fun scaring the whining Indians with nuclear weapons. It appears the US enjoys watching the Indians promise ‘Decisive Battle’, then pull out as soon as Pakistan shows its nuclear danda.
Khisiyani Billi Khambaa Nauche.
The pakistani journalist also mentioned that LKAdvani had said no F-16s were coming. The question ended with "so is Advani right?"
Obviously not, because he does not see the beautiful irony of the whole thread. That may explain why he has contradicted himself in all of his posts, and rubbished almost the entire Indian press at the same time. :)
No I have not seen the beautiful irony, please show me. And I have not ridiculed the Indian press, Indian press (and don't forget the refind Pakistani press) quoted what was reported by a little known paper in US, and used that to build pressure in advance. Rest, I know that Pakistan always wins when it is vis-a-vis India and have got an earth-shattering kiss from Unkil Sam. Cheers :D
tsk, tsk, tsk. This little known paper certainly got the Indian leadership in a spin, and created a big hoo ha in the Indian press and getting Advani, Fernandez etc to make defencive statements
Dhir, did you really read my earlier reply, or were you too busy running around after Advani trying to listen to his counter claims.

I suggest you read your last reply before mine, and then tally them with your earlier posts...once you have figured out any consistency in your argument, come back to me. :)
The other indegenous technology of missiles developed by Pakistan was clearly identified by American intelligence and I presume shown being smuggled out of N.K. to Musharraf during his visit. We Indians are left whining :D
