looking on the flip side of things, india has better access to ToT than China. As for software, indian call centers are already loathed at in the west

Any offshoring will not be liked by locals. But global trade is a two-sided game. If US wants to sell goods & services in India they better understand India will want to sell Indian goods & services in the USA.
