Pakistan threatening to become failed state.

Is the Indian home minister right? I am sure if he rings up Great Zardari, President of Pakistan he will find out who is in control. As they say, ‘It is good to talk.’

Pakistan threatening to become failed state

NEW DELHI - India’s home minister said Pakistan was threatening to become a failed state and it was not clear who was in control of the country, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported on Friday.

“It (Pakistan) is not a failed state, but it is threatening to become one,” Palaniappan Chidambaram said at a seminar in Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, where armed men killed 166 people last November.

“A great concern is weighing on our minds. In Pakistan, with regret, I would say we don’t know who is in control there. Whether it is the army or the president or the government,” Chidambaram was quoted as saying.

New Delhi has blamed Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba for the Mumbai attacks and said its nuclear-armed rival has done little to clamp down on militant activity on its soil.

Pakistani authorities were also criticised for poor security arrangements after armed men fired at the Sri Lankan cricket team as they drove to a stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.

Seven Pakistanis, six policemen and the driver of a bus carrying match officials, were killed. Six Sri Lankan players and two team officials were wounded.

India also expressed concern at the growing influence of the Taliban in Pakistan and the government’s inability to control the militants.

“Revival of Talibanism is nothing but total danger to Pakistan, total danger to the entire region,” Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in New Delhi on Friday.

David Miliband urges Pakistan to unite against homegrown militants - Times Online

Yaar you deal with your own elections first. We will see what that will bring to your country. Will it be Hindu extremists running the country or some other corrupt leader?

And don’t buy this failed state episode. Pakistan will never be a failed state (as every indian fantacise this in their dreams) And if anything happened to Pakistan then it will take your beloved India with it. Our every drop of Blood is ready for our country. Its not easy to make a country failed state. You listening too much crap from your crap leaders as this guy clearly stated.

Mumbai massacre survivors join new Indian anti-corruption party - Telegraph

“Our leaders are filthy and immoral,” said Mr Uledar, 29, a devout Christian. “Instead of running the country and giving us security, they are looting it, getting fat from corruption. I want honest people to come in to give us a new start.”

Read the full article for eye opener and don’t waste your energy on Pakistan, spend some time with your own country too.

Chammar Hee Jaatay ho tum indian Toa…

Maybe elections are a novelty in Pakistan ... but in India they have been held regularly since 1947 .... so nothing to worry on that count !!!!!!

Now coming back to the topic ..... guess you have nothing to add to it except pasting articles about India. That is not going to solve the problem in Pakistan !!!!!!

And neither do you.

You know what would help Pakistan solve its problems. When others start minding their own business, and letting Pakistan and Pakistanis solve their problems. It doesn't help the situation for Pakistan one bit when its neighbors are constantly going through its garbage hoping to somehow feel good about themselves. There's a word for those that go through others garbage but i wouldn't wanna use that on here, because no one likes to see a "bandha" cry like a little "bandhi"...

So my advice to you and your countrymen is to worry about your nation. You live in a glasshouse too and it doesn't do justice to you to throw stones at others, lest you accidently shatter your own image.

Oh and the issue of this being Pakistan Affairs, not Indian Affairs.

All that i think is one big step in helping Pakistan solve its problems. Pakistan does not need everyone and their grandmama coming over to pass suggestions and analyze what its doing right or wrong.

I agree, India has some major problems to deal with. Pakistan has major problems to deal with. India should buttout and keep any potential trouble makes at bay at this time.

Re: Pakistan threatening to become failed state.

Stop comparing India with Pakistan. White people are going to India for tourism, business and sports. Even couloured people (sri lankans) will not come to Pakistan for a long time now!!!

Pakistan is becoming increasinglt isolated & pressureised from the international community and out non-competent government is not helping much!!!

And what is your point? Why you feel so happy about it? Brother we don't need to compare with no one. Stop comparing. ~That is a problem with us when we start comparing. He//she has this I dont have this, he has a big house, big car. Live your own life and be happy what Allah (SWT) has given you and take it as blessings of Allah (SWT) I hope you can understand.

Nothing is forever here so why worry. All we need to do is educate our public and care about our poor people, the people who don't have food to eat, house to live. We need to choose the right leaders. That is where the problem is.

The point is something that the people at large in Pakistan somehow don’t get … there is a group of people, and for want of a better word i would use the word “militant Islamists”, who are a threat to Pakistan and have been a threat for India.

Frankly you won’t find India’s talking about the sectarion violence in Pakistan … that is an internal issue and Indian’s don’t want to go there !!! But these militant islamist groups have been a threat for a long time … remember the attack on the parliament in India … no follow up action was taken on the group and they went and did the action in Mumbai. Unfortunately some people in Pakistan still don’t want to own up to that … their bad.

But thankfully there is a growing number of people who have understood and realize that it is a real threat for Pakistan. You can see it in comments on GS and also the comments in local media … a sample is here

Let there be no doubt that the violent activities of militant Islamist groups are a threat to Pakistani state and society. None of them recognises the territorial boundaries of Pakistan or its constitution and law. Nor do any of them believe in seeking mandate for their “Islamic” agenda through the electoral process

I am grateful for everything God almighty has given me and the fact that he let me escape from pakistan so I could achieve my dreams! I wish there was more justic in pakistan so anyone who works hard gets reward for it, not just people who have connections!

It is sad that we cant compare ourselves with india anymore and have regressed to compare ourselves with war-torn countries like afghanistan!!

how much time do you spend on Pakistani Newspapers, forums etc?

I thought I was talking to one of my Pakistani brother before, but you started providing Dailytimes quotation under mine. Don’t understand bro what you trying to achieve?

It's called trolling and this "bandha" is notorious at it. he prefers going through others garbage in order to feel good about his own house

Every country has garbage and it is similar in most cases ... be it corrupt politicians, fragmented socities or ethnic / regional tensions.

But what separates Pakistan from all the others is the external dimension that some of the groups have in Pakistan. As i have pointed out the day hindu fanatics start blowing themselves up in Pakistan or provide breeding grounds to people who go and attack people in other countries .... then it will be an issue for the world to worry about.

Right now Pakistan has been for some time playing "host" to "non state" actors and there has been some offical support for this also. So till Pakistan is no able to fully "cleanse" itself of these elements ... it will be in danger and create danger for the region and world at large. Even the Chinese have started ringing the alarm bells .....

I generally refrain from commenting on internal issues of Pakistan, they are non of my concerns .... but when there is an issue that is connected to the security of the region, i will comment on that . It no longer remains an internal issue of Pakistan !!!!!

Well you are again trying to compare, but its upto you.

Don't you have a family still living in Pakistan? If they are then would you call them unlucky? or the way you saying you escaped like you was in really bad position there?

I am proud of my country no matter how it is. Just because of few crook politicians I am not gonna blame whole Pakistan. People of my country are so nice and innocent and good hearted and that is what I love about my country. Hard life or easy life that is my root and you should always remember where your roots are from.

Never just criticize your own country in front of the world, if you are not happy about something then do something about it, if you can't do anything then just be quiet rather then making it look worse. I never experienced anything bad in my country, neither I am rich neither I have connections and neither I am from a big city. Just pray to Allah (SWT) for its prosperity. Hope you don't take any offence.
