so what is the story with junaid khan..we seem to have totally forgotten him....situation not looking good for him....if the guy has so much potential as claimed by our management when he was selected for the WC, why are not we talking about him for WI..prolly the best time to throw him in the ring....
younis shd be kicked out from ODI....but we need an anchor and shd seriously consider azahr for ODIs as well....before you start cursing me for saying that, have a look at his first class record in ODI matches

i want hammad azam to be given a chance in place of razzaq in WI...this is the tour to try new players and groom them…razzaq claims 31 but he is already close to 35…his hand-eye coordination has seriously hampered plus the bowling speed has gone south as well…he may play some handy innings in WI slow pitches but he has passed his prime....
Misbah shd stay for both ODI and test matches and lead the test team
Omar gul really really needs to step up..after 8 years in the international cricket, they guy is still awfully inconsistent....and his test record is nothing but an embarrassment...he shd be a guiding force for new fast bowlers but he still gets lecture 101 on fast bowling form waqar younis…
We need a quality aggressive spinner for the test team as well….if rehman can serve, then he shd play consistently…somehow ajaml has been considered not good enuf for test matches...wonder why? But we need kaneria’s replacement in test matches
It would be logical for Junaid Khan to be selected and play but it is Pakistani selectors we are talking about. Hammad Azam should also be given a chance. Razzaq may stay to T20 only and open. For test spinner Kaneria could be good if Kamran Akmal goes away. I agree on Azhar Ali in place of Younis Khan in ODIs and limiting Younis to tests only. Shoaib Malik can be also be brought in ODIs and T20 only.
Is Mohammad Yousuf retired or is he just dropped/gone forever? He should still play tests and ODIs until some junior is groomed.

LAHORE: After taking his team to the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2011, Pakistan coach Waqar Younis has urged selectors to include younger players in the national side.
The Pakistan coach told reporters, on Monday, that some changes need to be made for the team’s tour of West Indies scheduled for the end of this month.
“This is the right time to make some changes in the team for the forthcoming tour, but we need to keep the balance for a successful series,” Waqar said.
Referring to the mass exodus of big names following an unsuccessful campaign in the 2003 World Cup, the then team captain underlined the need for a blend of youth and experience.
“If young players are given a chance to tour the West Indies, it will help us gauge their abilities and talent, and will help in building a team for the future.”
Pakistan’s wicketkeeper, Kamran Akmal, came under heavy criticism following his performance against New Zealand, where he dropped one catch and missed another, giving two lives to Ross Taylor. Taylor then went on to punish Pakistan with a blistering century and the 1992 champions lost the match.
While there were suggestions that Kamran’s younger brother Umar Akmal may be used behind the stumps for the remaining matches, Kamran retained his place during the remainder of the tournament.
Waqar, when asked about the elder Akmal, said the team needs a younger ‘keeper, “who can be smart enough to justify his standing behinds the stumps.”
The coach may not have opposed Kamran’s place in the squad, but sources close to the team management told Dawn.com that Kamran will be shown the door when the national selectors announce the squad for West Indies.

Kamran Akmal is dropped from West Indies tour. Adnan Akmal is selected to keep wickets in Tests whereas Mohammad Salman, from Faisalabad, is selected to keep wickets in T20 and ODIs. [Geo News reported]

OK Shehzad failed but Imran has failed 10 times more than Shehzad and Shehzad is only young … give him run for at least 3-4 series PLEASE PCB PLEASE

from all the news I have read today and also watching GEO this morning the selection cttee is in session and will announce the team either today or tomorrow. Furthermore 22 seems a very high number for a touring party.

I cant find any news on the squad. And I agree with Ehsan bhai, 22 sounds too odd. I can understand 16-17 but 22 no way on tour. Lets wait for the official word.
