Initial stages of flight for the new Hataf VII “Babur” nuclear capable cruise missile. The missile will gradually drop to just above ground height once it gains the velocity needed for sustained horizontal flight.

‘Babur’s serial production by next month’

ISLAMABAD: The indigenously developed first cruise missile of Pakistan Hataf-VII Babur will be in serial production by next month and the batteries of the same would be handed over to the armed forces accordingly.
This was disclosed in an exclusive interview with The News by Dr Samar Mubarakmand, chairman National Engineering and Scientific Commission of Pakistan (Nescom) on Thursday evening.
Responding to a question, Dr Mubarakmand said that a new test range had been developed for the new series of missile testing in Balochistan. The Babur Hataf-VII was test-fired from this range. The missile landed at the target in the same province with the accuracy of centimetres. Pakistan is the fourth country after the United States, Russia and China that has the technology of this precision.

One major problem with all GPS based systems. The USA can degrade accuracy to a point it becomes useless if they believe such a system could be used. The same applies for all countries apart from maybe Russia which had it's own satelite positioning system dont know if it;s still in operation. Next step should be developing a launcher for subs. This missile in the Agosta subs should be a very effective deterence.

Babur has an internal navigation syste,. GPS can also be used.

whatever pakistan is spending on military is a must. it is equally important to the quake victims. i hope u get the picture! I hope i don’t have to explain it to a 12 year old kid. And one thing if i may ask… since u have shot this already obvious question to pakistanis? why is india spending an awful amount of money on defence while almost half of the poor live on the streets? u should know it’s very irony when u ask questions like that. don’t get me wrong i am not an indian or a pakistani and i don’t take sides. i am just a neutral observer. don’t u think it’s a stupid question u asked and need to be corrected? if u ever ask me why is pakistan neglecting the quake victims… no they are not being neglected! the military and the victims are important similar to a job and education. they are equally important. u can’t study and don’t work neither can u work and not study. have i enlightened u? if not!!! go ask ur common sense teacher.

Wake up and smell the coffee..
Pakistan has lagged behind far enough that India now has more than $100 B in reserves (that's why people, or nations, have started listening to them..) while pakistan actually has stalled (or maybe in reverse gear) as situation has gone bad!
Shorcut Aziz needs to make sure that macro goes down to microlevel economics so people actually benefit but for that he would have to break the feudal-military-bureacratic thug alliance that is fleecing pakistan!

I wonder there is hardly any scientific institute of international repute in pak unlike india so where from these missiles drop f not from china and north korea.......... come on u got to have infrastructure to generate talent pool..
india can claim ( IIT IISC TIFR BARC etc etc) thes instt are so reputed that majority of the faculty in these instt. can walk into any us european universities.....
i mean u can't just wake up one day and say we will mae cruise missile u need sound base yeah given u are not buying it from elsewhere and painting it in pakistani colour
