Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
India thought that we will never //acquire// cruise missiles
Nice way of admitting that the missiles were acquired from God knows where !!!
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
What difference does it make if they were acquired or put together in a workshop…It will burn up yo stinky bhindian a$$ just the same…
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
I’d be glad if Pakistan aquired the missiles rather than developed them. It would mean that money otherwise wasted on development of weapons was instead spent on the development of the countryand its people ![]()
Unlike India, which rather than spending its money on helping its poor is spending billions of dollars on developing an offensive military.
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
Actually billions wasted in developing weapons system…cause India despite its abundant boasting has yet to deploy a weapon system developed indigenously…
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
Though the Pakistani people and the armed forces have a good reason to express their satisfaction but they should remember that their cruise missile is subsonic and its range is only 500 km. Recently even Taiwan tested its indigenously developed super-sonic cruise missile with a range of 1000km. Therefore Pakistani scientists should not gloat over their achievement. Pakistani scientists have to come up with a super-sonic cruise missile with a vastly increased range for at present Pakistan faces danger from many directions.
Pakistan's Space Programme
Instead of trying to increase the range of its ballistic missiles Pakistan should work on rockets which can launch satellites and at the same time carry warheads. pakistan needs high tech satellites for a good command and control.

Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
india will come with megaton hydrogen bombs
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
sure it would...India is actually running to US to provide it with Nuclear Fuel...as it has exhausted all resources and has come up short...plus the explosion that it carried out in Pokhran II, most of those were duds.....
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
While the USA had stopped producing tritium by about 1988 due to safety reasons and ageing facilities, the Indian breakthrough underscores the fact that tritium can now be produced at a fraction of the estimated US$ 7 billion needed to produce the isotope at current costs using the accelerator process, as was done in the USA. The Indian scientists have managed to extract highly enriched tritium from heavy water used in power reactors.
The advantage of the technology developed by BARC is that it assumes heavy water as the moderator in power reactors when most of those in the West (including Russia) – with the exception of Canada – use light water. The other advantage is a short gestation period; the Indian tritium facility takes less than two years for completion. This is not to say that India has already secretly developed the H-Bomb, but the very fact that tritium, according to all available indications, is now being stockpiled puts India in a comfortable position in terms of nuclear deterrence, given the nuclear ambitions of Pakistan and the already-nuclear China
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
so basically soon enf all people of the world will see big mushrooms fireworks just before they die :)
Then coakroaches will rule the planet (since its the only living thing capable of surviving nuc blast)
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
It would be interesting to know the type of guidance system is this cruise missile using. A real time updated autonomous system is beyond our capability right now
Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
not very informed about military tech I see. Sub-sonic missiles are actually better than super sonic because of their accuracy and lower chance of being detected by radars.

Re: Pakistan Test Fires Cruise Missile
Ok, allow me to clear up some confusion present on this thread.
Range of Babur (Pakistani) = 500km
Range of BrahMos (Russian, painted by India) = 300km
So, we have a better advantage there.
Babur is not acquired from anywhere, but rather it is developed 100% indigenously by SUPARCO. Pakistan is known for making the finest UAVs in the world, and if you look at it closely, UAVs have a lot in common with cruise missiles.
Speaking in terms of quality of Pakistani UAVs, America bought UAVs from Pakistan, to monitor its border with Mexico. So, that should tell u how advanced Pakistan is, in this field.
The guidance system will most likely be Chinese GPS.
As for the guy who said something along the lines of "cruise missiles can be jammed", I have one question for you. How will you jam the missile if you cannot detect it?
Babur is a subsonic missile, which allows it to be highly maneuvrable, and highly accurate, and it has the ability to change its way-points during the flight. It flies at very low altitudes at which it cannot be detected by enemy radar, because it mixes in with the curvature of the earth. It also has some very sophisticated computer inside which helps it find waypoints, and help it stay level with the ground (i.e. if the land elevates, the missile elevates; if a mountain or some other thing or structures comes in the middle, the missile find the shortest alternative route.)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask, because there is alot of info which I have not posted.
Thank You.

Pakistan’s Beagle to sniff U.S. borders
by Brian Walters
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) dubbed ‘Border Eagle,’ together with ground display software, is to be supplied by Integrated Dynamics (ID) to the U.S. Homeland Border Control. Some 20 of these mini surveillance systems are to be delivered before the end of February and an example is featured on the Pakistan-based company’s Dubai 2003 exhibit (Stand No. W102). On-board sensors are to be supplied in the U.S.
ID is making its second appearance at a Dubai show, having previously promoted its UAV expertise in 1997 and winning orders as a result. Although Pakistan is the company’s biggest customer for UAVs and support systems, its expertise in flight control, telecommand and control systems has won recognition in several other countries including France and the UK to which such electronic equipment has been supplied.
While the company’s smaller UAVs are powered by piston engines in the pusher configuration, the Tornado 2000 aerial target and decoy system, also on display, is powered by two 18-pound thrust mini turbojets, which endow a speed range of 70 to 300 knots. To help train UAV operators, ID has developed pilot and mission simulators that offer low cost solutions to training requirements that would otherwise oblige use of real UAVs.
The pilot simulator provides a high level of realism and can support single or multiple instrument failures, while the mission simulator enables the user to analyze the mission before the actual flight, thus reducing risk and increasing system cost effectiveness.
