Well, PCB pays a salary to all our cricketers, and I think on the high-end, its about $40,000 a year (excluding any sponsorship or match fees etc) ... so there you go. The hopes of 140 million people ride on a guy that is paid less than a fresh college grad here in the US. But make no mistake, this is all inconsequential.

Well, the whole news story is essentially off-the-beaten-track, so to speak, so to talk about some more irrelevant tid bits really isn't that out of place... however, the incosequential part is because our cricketers live in Pakistan and not in the US, so their salary should be looked at from the viewpoint of cost of living in Pakistan. Rs 200,000 a month is still a pretty decent salary.
