Teaser…don’t say “all” Indians. I will always welome a Hindu taking up positions of responsibility in Pakistan or anywhere else, as long as they are able to do their job.

I do find it interesting though that in Pakistan in particular where there is at present a rather intense tussle is going on between groups that want the country to be Islamic versus groups who want the the country to be progressively secular.

FJ you got that wrong as others and thats why I included all Indian in my previous post. Its true there is tussle going on between groups to make Pak Islamic but that tussle is on the basis of siding with USA and Israel not because minorities are taking higher positions in Pakistan. In an Islamic state its fine to give higher positions to non-muslims as long as they are loyal to the country so I don’t see any problem.

If the reason Bhagwandas got this job or he is accepted is his degree in Islamic studies then there’s no credit for Pakistan. But if he got to here because of his jurisprudence qualifications (with his Islamic MA definitely being an additional qualification for understanding the majority of the subjects of Pakistan), then it is a good thing worthy of credit.

For this I point to Silly Billy’s post where he provided the link that Bhagwandas is not the only one who has higher position there are other people from minorities as well.
