ISLAMABAD: Pakistan successfully test fired Shaheen- II Hatif 6 missile with a range of 2,000 km on Saturday morning.
Shaheen-II can carry all kinds of warheads.
President Pervaiz Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have congratulated the scientists on successful test.

Basically it seems to be a message for Madam Chawal who, unlike Gen. Powell does not hesitate to press Pakistan hard on the nuclear issue.
Pakistan does not waste its Chinese stuff for non-trivial reasons. Madam Chawal must have really presed Mushy hard. :D

Gen Musharaf claimed that Pakistans advancements in Missile technology are geared towards improving Pakistans endeavours into Space... Any comments?

Musharraf also claimed that Pakistan has a more advanced space program than India after Pak bought rights to a used khatara satellite.
Most reports say Condi took Mushy to the nuclear woodshed during this visit.
This "test" has only one purpose - to tell Musharraf's juniors and other powerful establishment types that the nuke/missile program is safe. It is a way to show mardaNgi.

They need to stop doing these arbitrary tests or they will soon run out of missile supplies, provided by the Chinese and North Koreans.....
