Because it is a dangerous myth that leads to fantasies of military superiority over India when in fact India is far stronger. When President Nixon tried to explain to General Khan the military realities in order to get Pakistan to cut its losses, Yahya's response was to cite the myth of Pakistani soliders being far superior than India, so much superior that they could overcome India's far larger size. Back then the military balance was closer since India received Soviet weapons and Pakistan more advanced American weapons. Today they both have access to the same type of weapons and India's economy is booming while Pakistan is on the cusp of being a failed state.

This is another example of Pakistanis not accepting reality--at their detriment. India is estimated to equal the size of the US economy in four decades and become a superpower. Pakistan, assuming Islamists don't cause it to disintegrate, is growing very slow compared to rising countries. In 2050, according to a prestigious Goldman Sachs projection, India's economy will be 19 times larger than Pakistan's. India's per capita GDP is on par with Pakistan today; in 2050 it will be thrice that of Pakistan's.
Pakistanis need to wake up and realize what is going on and make the necessary changes. India and Pakistan have the same history, very similar cultures and were about equal development-wise for four decades. One is rising rapidly and the other on the brink of becoming a failed state.

How can it contain China if it is not even in China's league? Notice that the US is turned to India, not Japan, to be the chief check on China. It is because the US recognizes that India will be far stronger than Japan in a few decades.

This is ridiculous talk. Countries have all sorts of relationships with other nations. Is Pakistan a "whore" for Saudi Arabia? Pakistan is "leasing" half a million acres of farmland to the Saudis to produce food for Saudis (why doesn't Saudi Arabia just import what is grown by Pakistani farmers?), does not recognize Israel because the Arabs don't (while the Arabs recognize and trade with India. Pakistan is getting played like a fool on Israel. Its stance does nothing for it and only has driven Israel and its technology into India's arms.), sent pilots to fight Israel on behalf of the Arabs (note that the Arabs did not send pilots or cut off oil to India in 65' or 71'), allows Saudi Arabia to flood Pakistan with a network of schools aimed at promoting the Saudi ideology, etc.
