Overall good team and like how Umar Akmal has been dropped from all squads (although he should have remained in T20)
Shehzad's inclsion in T20 is due to Afridi's pressure otherwise he is not a T20 player, his last test score was 176 vs New Zealand but he is dropped from tests due to attitude issues, why is he in T20 in that case? Moronic decision.
Great to see talented Sami Aslam and Babar Azam who averages 50 in Limited overs but not selected in ODIs and he is weak in first class but got selected in Tests, makes no sense.
Great to see Fawad back but overall Bangladesh will beat us in ODIs with likes of Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Fawad, Hafeez in the squad.

Where is Fawad Alam in test team or in T20?
Fawad has highest first class average (57.00) by any player in Pakistan history and he also has test match century on debut outside Pakistan (first to do that) where he scored around 60 percent of runs whole team made. Even then he was not given chance in test, just 3 test matches, still, his average is 41.7 in test. Compare with Azhar Ali whose first class average is 37 (20 runs less than Fawad) and test average is 41.4, less than Fawad .... though Fawad average with 3 test is still immature, and it is expected that if given chance, he should increase his average above 50, just like any other batsmen ... same as his ODi average, that is similar to his List A average.
So, what PCB want to tell, is that, discrimination would keep going on? ... and then when country get divided, people start complaining.

I think Fawad and Anwer Ali should have been in all 3 format.
Ahmed Shahzad should have been part of test.
Umar Akmal should have been part of ODI and T20 ... not as reliable batsman but pinch hitter.

I would have rather seen Shahzad in test team than T20. I think Fawad Alam, again is unlucky to not find a place in test team. His game is best suited for test cricket, yet the morons in PCB/Selection Committees refused to accept/acknowledge or are just ignoring it due to non-cricketing issues. I think Sadaf Hussain is another unlucky player, being constantly ignored. Imran Khan did very well in tests in UAE and yet he is not in the team. I think Mohammad Talha wasn't bad either, Sohail Khan hasn't played test cricket so thats a gamble. Anwar Ali, another one missing out on T20/ODIs. Hammad Azam another talented allrounder. Hamad should be mentored to replace afridi as the team's allrounder in all formats. Yet, he cannot even find a space in any team. Very unfortunate. Overall nice to see no Akmal and Shahzad in ODIs, however Asad Shafiq in ODIs is not a good option. Hope they don't play him in the 11. Ehsan Adil must have a strong parchi, I don't see anything good he did at the WC to warrant a place in the team.

For GOD's sake not this again, i have mentioned already that Fawad should be in Test squad but discrimination? division of country??? Asad Shafiq who is also from Karachi has been included in ODIs again, this after averaging 13 yes 13 in last 15 ODIs. Overall he averages 25 after 53 ODIs at most pathetic strike rate of 68. I believe both PCB chairman and chief selector are from Karachi and previous 3 chief selectors were also from Karachi but no we still complain about discrimination??
Learn to differentiate between bad selection and discrimination.

Left handed opener, he is highest ever run scorer in the world at U19 level. Highly rated player and totally deserves to be in the squad, averages around 50 at domestic level. Let's see if he can perform at international level, he has played against most of the Bangladeshi players at U19 level so that's an advantage.

Rizwan is a wicket keeper but got selected purely due to his batting form so keeping is added advantage which should keep Safraz focused as well as he has a competition.
As for Asad and Azhar in same team, definitely a disaster in the making. Thank GOD Shehzad has been dropped otherwise Bangladeshis would've won the series.

Asad and Azhar will be needed in the middle to stop the usual collapse of the top order. We need to develop players to play anchor roles like Inzi and Mohammad Yusuf used to do.

Perhaps Shahzad's inclusion in T20, Asad's inclusion in ODI, Fawad's exclusion from test is due to preferences of the captains of each format. That would explain the contradictions.
