Has anyone watched this show?
I got to see it this weekend, since Zee gold is running a preview. All I have to say is that if Prime wants to compete, it ought to take a look at that show. And furthermore, its somewhat disappointing that such a good show is on an Indian channel and not on Prime.
I have mentioned this thing before where people were saying how much Prime is better than Zee. They have only one Pakistani show on Zee and thats better than most of the programming on Prime! Hell even the videos on that show are awesome! I watched Ali noor's videos on there!
Its all about the money bachoo, more money better quality shows, zee has probably over billion viewers including India around the world, which makes them have a bigger budget and show better programs, even Pakistanis in Pakistan are not willing to show their music on PTV for little amount.
One thing you guys don't get that Zee pays alot of money to the musicians or record label or whatever to show their music on their channel.
Now that’s one great show on Zee.

Umair, I see what ur saying about the whole money thing, but lets put it this way: PTV has never had a lot of money and yet they still used to come out with good dramas with their meager budget -- cuz there were people who were interested in quality entertainment and they knew what quality entertainment was. There is no reason for PTV to be losing its quality now and frankly, Prime has a good amount of money, they get financial support from pakistanis abroad in dollars. We're paying the same amount for Prime as the Indian channels. There is no reason why they should be running low on ideas.
Pakistan Show on Zee Gold. So?
Play Your Game - Guess My Motto
Prime has acces to all the same music videos, film clips tv studios as whoever produces the Pakistan show on Zee TV. the major complaint against Prime has got to be that it fails to produce a decent show out of the components it has at it's disposal. I don't get to se much of these channels but I did see a programme called VJ on Prime - an episode lampooning Titanic while introducing music videos in between which was really funny and pretty innovative at the time.
I don't know who was involved in compering the show but the people involved were very talented. The skinny guy who is the main presenter is maybe one of the Dr aur Billo pop group? It's not about money at all, it's about not putting apes in charge of producing these shows.
Mr. Xtreem, I think you are talking about Music Channel Charts, from the early, it used to be on STN.
Probably the first ever top 10 music show in south asia, after that they came out with all the junk like VJ, Pepsi's Top of the Pops.
Btw the guy behind that show Gazafar Ali, who did more music showa after that but don't know what happend to him.
No, there was a show called VJ, i know what u're talking about. It was completely run by the dr. aur billa crew.
I dont know, I found it funny, but the production was pretty bad and unproffesional. But then again, that was one of their first independant ventures. That was an OLD show on ptv. That is what i'm talking about. Prime should not show such old old shows.
The same skinny guy - forgot his name - is doing the Hatto Bacho show on Prime - now that is funny.
PCG,
VJ might have been an old show, but IMO it looked a lot more up to date than most of the stuff Prime churn out. Production might have been unprofessional but maybe that's got something to do with budget. fact is, Faisal Qureshi and his Dr aur Billo crew are an inventive bunch from what I saw (i only saw the one episode) and it proves beyond a doubt that money isn't everything.
Back to the main topic, i agree with you that Prime is charging the same as Indian channels so unless they are prepared to upgrade the standard of their programmes then they will lose customers and continue to get flak. Some people don't like it that we give a Pakistani channel a hard time, but then they aren't giving this service for free, and a paying customer has every right to demand their money's worth.
It would be a good move if a representative for Prime could come on this forum and explain the direction they are heading, what their vision is for the future and then rspond to the feedback.
excellent points extreme! Perhaps PCG has problems with Dr. and Billa becausr they are Punjabis! lol!
Waisay the groups name is dr. And BILLA not Billo
Ali, i don't think she's got too much of a problem with Punjabis, she usually makes some good points.
err sorry about making the billa into a billo - no offence Dr Billa & crew!
p.s.
any billo's out there, no offence to you either.
Thanks, X treme.
Please, Alibeta, I did not expect an intelligent guy like you to take my comments the way all the other punjabis on this board take them.
Again, I would like to clarify that I have nothing against the Punjabi people. I have a problem with pro-punjabi policies, whether they be in the gov't or entertainment.
