Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

its easy to use article which show politicians’ statement of “welcoming the army” but when the same politicians want army to go back into barracks because “everyone wants army back in barracks” they get labelled liars :rotfl:

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

Yes, they should be taught. They should be tightly checked by establishing some institution (which army cannot touch :p) and held accountable for their actions when they are in govt.

we can then start blaming the Army - an institution that has been more democratic than the alleged democratic parties in Pakistan.

Please keep BS with yourself. If you are going to use media as the only "democratic" progress for Mushy then he gets 3/10 for that, don't give "army" the credit for that as we have Zia who was also from army but didn't do squat. So it was not "army policy" which allowed these developments.

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

On the same account we should not take army as sacred institution who surrounded SC, who ousted a CJ and who destroyed a constitution :p

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

For people like you even if Musharraf drops a nuke on the country it will not be illegal.

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

What nukes? :)

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

Politicians are the biggest nukes themselves for the nation

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

So Aalsi, if someone wants to call Apple Oranges and the rerhi wala approves it, is that gonna make them oranges? :D

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

Don’t call Musharraf a rehri-wala :hoonh:

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

I guess it will :p

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

None of these problems will go away until you get rid of feudalism. Until then, whoever has the most land will continue to dictate how democracy is applied in Pakistan, and the army will have to keep coming in the way whenever it finds itself in conflict with the government politics.

Ridiculous. How many years has Pakistan been in existence and people can't figure out that in the end, this is the root of the problem?

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

It appears they never will. :)

Re: Pakistan should teach Politicians to uphold the constitution.

This is a bit of a myth often used to justify military intervention. What %age of PM's or Presidents have been major feudals in Pakistan? Who are the major feudals and who do they support..invariably they have a symbiotic relationship with the military who in turn patronises them and allows them to continue their hold..but even then in Pak politics the feudal factor is usually an excuse for not allowing democracy.
