Problem with a country like Pakistan is, there are a lot of perverted people. Third class cheap thinking, illiterate people as well. This kind of a programme is a good idea, but not in a country like Pakistan. This can go bad very easily. Cheap kind of people starting to call etc. Also, Pakistani society is a very closed minded claustrophobic one. If someone finds out you called on the show to discuss such matters ‘publicly’, you will be humiliated and rumours will start flying.

First and foremost, Pakistan needs to tackle poverty and illiteracy. All the other things will start getting solved on their own.

Not anymore or less than anywhere else. The problem is when Pakistanis themselves start generalising about Pakistanis. Admitting our problems is one thing. Calling us more perverted than everyone else is another. The attitudes towards sex isn’t due to perversion in Pakistan, but due to the fact we are very conservative as a country.
