Re: Pakistan’s economy grew as strong as India’s in 2002 to 2006: Indian magazine
Lest we forget an important aspect on this thread.
Pakistan's better economy has been mostly the result of two leaders in Pak history. The first was our President Ayub Khan (May Allah Bless his soul), and the second leader was Nawaz Shrif during his first stint in the PM office.
Why it is so? Both of them relied on pro-West coroporate policies that resembled mostly South Korea's.
Others and especially Z A Bhutto and her daughter BB (May Allah bless their souls) were more of copy cats of North Korea.
Indians too were the copycats of North Korea until their kibla was changed from Ruskies to Uncle Sam. Now Indians are copying S. Korea and with much bigger success than that of Pakistan.
Why Indians are more successful now than Pakistanis. The single most reason is based on the Pro-USA attitude of the Non Resident Indians.
Once the power of NRI was successfully joined with the large business families like Tata, Birla, Mittals etc., Indians were immediately put on a fast track to S. Korea like Pro-Uncle Sam future.
There are still some old commie Indians that are holding out and dreaming about reverting to the North Korea like policies.
However the juggernaut of NRI+Big Business Indians is rolling along so fast, that communists may not have much luck.
Sorry for going to the direction of India for a bit. It is important for Pakistanis to note that we must not copy North Koreans. Instead we must beat Indians in transforming ourselves to South Korea.
If we don't watch out and our non-resident Pakistanis remain hostile to US policies, we surely will become a nuclear armed pariah state begging for oil and food, otherwise knows and Kim's Ill-fated Jung's country.

I went to Islamabad from lahore and was complaining about Islamabad airport to this western journalist that was seated next to me, and she said that Delhi was even worse. So Pakistan isn't that bad after all.

I am an Indian and I'd say airports in India are crappy compared to the ones in US, but renovation is on and I hope and truely believe that they will turn out a lot better once the renovation is done.

^ Indian airports will not improve until the workers there develop at least 1% of service mentality. I don't like generalizing but most of them behave as if they are working in a village railway station that gets 1 train per day
I think lalu prasad yadav should be made in charge of aeroways too
