Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
its more like a self made change thats why its beyond understanding.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
It's not global warming or self made climate change. There have been such heavy floods occurring in past in that region.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
^^ So its just without reason? Right?
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
Its Global Warming

Heavy monsoon rains which are usual in that area is the reason.
I don't know why some people want to prove that it's Global Warming and we ourselves caused this disaster?
We are facing enough difficulties in receiving the aid for being labeled as terrorist and taliban supporting nation by the media and now this BS.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
^I haven't said Global Warming, neither I referred, we getting azab. My reference was HAARP and Indo-Afghan rivers over flooding.

Yes rains are common in this season but this kind of heavy rain and subsequent flooding is not that common it doesn't happen every year and has to be some sort of weather anomaly either being caused by global warming or some sudden change in weather patterns.
If it is global warming no one is/can/will blame Pakistan for it, everyone living on the planet earth is responsible for it.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
^yeah but there is proof that similar heavy rains happened in last century too so i don't think it's a sudden change in atmosphere.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
It was indeed HAARP. Check out on Youtube and other websites. Clouds don't recognize borders and they don't stay in one region for two weeks. They actually move. But in this case they didn't.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
Someone care to shed some light on "HAARP", for the users that aren't aware....??
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
^^
all my efforts gone with the flood too…

Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
Isn't HAARP a conspiracy theory?
Anyway hopefully if this was some weather phenomenon then it doesn't return for a long time.
Just wondering how is Bangladesh doing during monsoon this time around? There are always heavy floods there in this season but I didn't come across any news about it this year.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
I know of HAARP…i just wanted someone else to educate the rest of GS…:@:

I remember reading somewhere that experts reckon Bangladesh will be fully submerged under water by the end of the century, due to rising sea levels.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
So much work for masoom like me
Whereas I already did it rightly ![]()
If there were “monsoon rain” then why not in India or Bangladesh? Why it is so severe only in Pakistan?
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
No madam, this is different, here is the New scientist article on this:
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
^Well, these are just theories, nothing's been proven. There might be some truth to them though.
Re: Pakistan’s Climate Change Floods, Seen From Above
Where most of the Monsoon rains fell was right on the Western edge of its range ie where it is supposed to have fallen least. If that much fell in Swat then more should have fallen in regions where Monsoon rain is higher ie Hazara, AJK, Murree.
Or maybe the answer lies in the fact that the people of Swat, Naushera, Charsada live closer to the river because the river is nearer to the ground level?
Floods are rare but not new.

These are not theories anymore, world renowned scientists are publishing articles & researches on Pakistan's Flood 2010. If you don't know their is also the unconfirmed reports of Cloudburst phenomena over the Malakand division hours before the Flood starting to destroy everything.
Newscientist is one of the most reputed scientific journal, when they publish something - they definitely have some logic & science behind it. Never in 100+ years history we have floods at this scale & in such short time.
Warming of earth will extinct Pakistan if we didn't start planning, we have the biggest share of Frozen water in our Northern Parts after the South/North pole.
