Pakistan Rangers has put down Indian border security force’s request to end the aggressive border closing ceremony that takes place every day at wagha border citing it was taking toll on their soldiers.
Director General of Pakistan Rangers Major General Yaqub Khan has said that the parade on the Wahga Border would be continued with traditional zeal and fervor.
According to international security observors the parade tarnishes the image of india everyday and according to Sir Thomas Walker who writes for the weekly welsh chronicles,“India loses everyday at wagha”.
Re: Pakistan rejects indian request, wont end Wagha aggressive marching and parade
Why does India continue this idiocy? They should just let the Pakistani guardsmen continue making asses of themselves and stop participating in these juvenile demonstrations.

Pakistan doesn't have to follow stupid Indian asses.

I haven't followed this news story so I will not comment on the specific news item.
Having said that, being an Indian I have sometimes wondered if we really need to play this daily chest-thumping charade with Pakistan at the Wagah.
India needs to decouple itself from Pakistan as much as possible. We have come a long way since the days of the partition. The two countries are on totally different tracks now - socially and economically. One is a secular democracy and the other is a Islamic republic. One is a fast-growing economy and the other is the one of the most dangerous places in the world and barely functioning (just stating facts here).
The Pak Rangers can continue their marching and thumping if they like, India does not need to indulge in this childish game of pretend one-upmanship.

It seems Indians only wants to end this because its something their own border security people asked for. Had it been the Pakistanis that had made such a request, the Indians would have jumped all over it and considered it a victory.
I mean, you can pretend to be the "mature" nation, but reality is quite the opposite.
If you Indians really want to be a mature nation, as you claim you are, lets start with real issues.
For example, lets start by clearing out Siachin (Since it was the Indians who started that fight.)
I recall the last time Pak discussed this with India, the Indians refused because they did not want the abandoned ice cube from being depicted on maps as anything other then Indian... Very mature of you indeed.

You forget to add that over 80% of your people live in pathetic poverty and you have a system if you can call it that based upon castes. Sooner or later there will be no space for Indians to live.
It would be nice to see India try and give its people clean drinking water, a healthcare system not just empty meaningless slogans. Just stating facts here!

Re: Pakistan rejects indian request, wont end Wagha aggressive marching and parade
No we haven't reached such parameters... But this was in response to Indias appalling failures. Would you like to comment on the subject of Hindustan's massive failings or are you to embarrassed?

I usually dont like to get into India/Pakistan bashing; But I also believe in a healthy dose of reality check.
It is very true that India have very strong democratic traditions, and have come a long way from the verge of bankruptcy in the early 1990's. The credit goes to current Indian PM Singh for the economic reforms he undertook as a finance minister back in the 1990's. I want to hightlight the education sector as well which is performing above the par. However, a lot of Indians would like to focus on the positives only and not care so much as to what's going on in the rest of India proper. There are 626 districts in India, out of which 220 districts are in direct control of the Naxalites. The Indian constitution lilterally does not apply there. FYI, Pakistan proper have only 113 districts. The Indians keep blaming the Pakistanis for the in effectiveness of the Pakistani government in tribal areas, while completely ignoring the fact that they themselves are stuck in a similar situation. The living standards in eight Indian states is worst than some of the poorest African countries. India has the largest population with HIV/AIDS. It is true that India is performing well for the last decade or so, but dont forget "you are not there yet." IMHO, you are no where close to lecturing people. If it was not for the war next door to us we would be performing just as well. Our economy took a nose dive in 2006-07. We are not N. Koreans or the poor Palestinians who are not sure about their destinies. Also for a developing country we have a decent infrastructure. We didn't build our motorways just now; We built them back in the 1990's when your economy was barely crawling. We have a vibrant media; a very active judiciary. Nor do I agree with the label of the "most dangerous place on the planet." People who came up with such a creative title obviously haven't been to Somalia, Darfur or numerous other places which are far more dangerous than the Land of Pure. Yes, we do have problems and we are addressing those problems accordingly. We are a resilent lot; We will rise again. Amen

Good for you. Meanwhile, you still have an army of hungry and uneducated. Lets stay focused on your failings, otherwise they will be eclipsed by whatever accomplishments you have.
