Pakistan registers case against Kishanganga Dam

Pakistan has registered a case against India’s Kishanganga Dam in World Bank’s arbitration court.

Pakistan has raised two major objections on the Kishanganga project. First, India cannot divert the route of the Kishanganga River. Second, the water level cannot be taken below the dead-storage-level of the dam.

Pakistan’s representative has submitted documents related to the case to the court’s chairman in Hague. The court, which consists of seven judges, can start hearing of the case from next month.
