Destroyer of Pakistan Railways was Zia-ul-Haq,
who created NLC in the eighties to change the once profitable organization even in time of first PPP government lead by Bhutto in to a liability. NLC was created just to please and corrupt certain military officials who imported most expensive trucks from Germany and other countries pocketed heavy commissions in foreign exchange. NLC not only grabbed the profitable freight business of Railways but also destroyed the existing infrastructure such as roads and bridges and caused numerous fetal accidents on highways
F.inal nail in the coffin of Railways was hammered by Musharraf when his general who was heading this organization imported defective Chinese coaches and locomotives. All locomotives are now ineffective due to defective technology. Instead of defective coaches returned to China, general got modified all the platforms of PR all over the country again causing billions of rupees loss to Railways

I think it was not Zia, it was Quaid-e-Azam or may be Illama Iqbal… who are responsible for the current status of Pakistan Railways…

Get a life will you… stop blaming others for your short comings… if Zia was responsible then who promoted Zia to the position of COA…

As of Now, PPP’s darling ANP has the responsibility of Railways… and under the great leadership of Zardari.. they are doing what it takes to destroy it… or may be you are so naive that you were made to think that nothing wrong can be done by PPP or Zardari…

Speaking about numb nuts!!! PPP had got most of them…
