Importing from India is ideal, but importing from US is next to ideal. US is one of the pioneer in evolving railway systems. Their Alco, GM and GEU brands are superb locomotives and successfully completed their useful lives in PR system. Still a number of these locomotive working fine in harsh, sandy and extreme hot weather in Pakistan.
