Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

I was reading on BBC that a reporter of aljazeera has been arrested in Egypt

the article mentioned that egyptian police is known for torturing peopl in custody and that a bus driver Imad Elkabir was raped in police station and video of rape was circulated among bus drivers and later appeared on internet. Adding more to it the victim was imprisoned for 3 months for “resisting authorities”.

I thought to search the google video for Pakistani police “karnamey” and found this:

and this…

^

It’s just like a bolly fillum. :hehe:

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

There are bunch of civvies standing around and one recording the whole thing. This could be some vendetta/score settling by a group.

No wonder people don't respect the police in Pakistan.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

lack of training and proper investigation procedures, Police only rely on torture to get the information from suspects.

they are certainly in human methods,
but any one wonders?? How police is trained in Pakistan?? only few drills in morning and evening when they are in schools.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

^ the real training is ‘on-field’, how to check out pockets/wallets :cb:

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

All police are that way. hence the term 'force'.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

^^ making mockery is easy, resolving issues an other. 3000 rupies per month, no training with matric minimum education level required, expected to be on duty 24/7 hour shift(yea its true there is no room for any time or day off from work by law in Police). Many would do the same in such circumstances!

success example is motorway police, which formed on modern lines and a 8 hour shift pattern, plus good training and pay. Its an example to see what can be done to improve , not just bashing. and at end they are also pakistanis and from the very same society not alians.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

^ No mocking intended. Yes police are lowly paid and we ask a lot out of them. My complaint is little is being done to professionalize the force. The street cops have no self respect - contrast that with every traffic cop being addressed as 'officer' in the west. Desi cop is prepared to shine my shoes at the sight of 1000 rupees.

Again I don't mean to insult - desis as a culture don't think of cops as officers of law and order but as a job that people take up if they can't get anything else

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

people pay a couple of lacs to get into police force, cuz its a 'milking industry' just like the income tax department.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

You guys seen the Brazilian police? They make these egyptian and pakistani polciyaz seem like farishtey1

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

every department is like that, Police comes in direct interaction with people so damned.
people pay to get any "sarkari " job cause of un employment and long term job security. its not just police.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

spock any experience with them, please share!

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

lol not personally, but if youve seen worlds most amazing videos, ull see what im talking about, they are really mean, and inhumane! I had this magazine which did a 5 page detailed review about them, it was horrific!

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

true, when a ploiceman doesn't get paid enough to support his family, of cours he will take bribes..

When a policeman risks his life and limb to catch the criminals, who is then let go, of course he will eventually not care about catching them anymore.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

Having lived in Egypt, I know that is a police state from top to bottom - quite Nazi-like infact. I suggest people go and visit such countries like Egypt, Saudi or Jordan for instance and you will see how Pakistani police (for all their faults) are a far, far better lot.

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

spot on! RD

Re: Pakistan Police & Egyptian Police

You cant compare Egyptian police with Paki police. Egyptian police have no accounting by the media. Paki police do. And the media do criticize them. Some of you are just too sensitive, as you regard pulling the pants down of some fat kid as torture :halo: :halo: But you do get some undisciplined Paki police without a doubt who would do something stupid..part of the fruits of corruption that is being eroded slowly.
