Pakistan Peoples Party: the Bhutto family heirloom.

After the PPP selection of Zardari as leader through a ‘Will’, the best democrat by far in Pakistan is President Musharraf.

Pakistan Peoples Party: the Bhutto family heirloom

Quote: Consider the choices before the people of Pakistan: a military dictator (Pervez Musharraf), a discredited politician (Zardari or Nawaz Sharif) or a callow 19-year-old (Bilawal). Suddenly Pervez Musharraf may not seem like a terrible idea. That is the irony of the way Pakistan has gone about creating its polity - a military dictator who came to power in a coup seems like the best option. The benchmark for democracy is so low.

Re: Pakistan Peoples Party: the Bhutto family heirloom.

Aalsi same is the case with other so called political parties.....infact there is a lot common in all these so called political/religious parties.....all of them have hate as their main agenda of doing politics.....corruption as their tool to become rich.....crime and terror as their operational skills to become popular>>>

....and all this is possible due to uneducated, uncivilized masses....who can not distinguish what is good and what is bad for them....

Re: Pakistan Peoples Party: the Bhutto family heirloom.

True. Education is the key if Pakistan is to continue moving forward.

One thing that has been evident in the past 7 days, despite all the progress Pakistan has made, is the uncivilised nature of the populace that rioted, killed, and burnt businesses.

This has done an untold damage to innocent families and the country. Not only in terms of Pakistan being viewed as an uncivilised society, but the damage to the confidence of people that want to set-up business. Why should a person that has spent his and his families life setting up a business, building contacts, employing many, invest any more money - especially if the uncivilised populace start burning business and killing people up and down the country, just because a party leader is killed?

We have now seen that no political party genuinly believes in 'Democracy' in Pakistan. Democracy has just become a byword in Pakistani politics to 'allow' someone else to 'Rule' the nation.

Pakistan needs to get back to the basics of continued development and eductaion first. Political Parties need to get their house in order, and bring democracy to their pwn political parties first, before even uttering the word 'Democracy'.

God Bless Pakistan.
