Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

Born and brought up and living here. But my mum's from Pak. My father's parents were from Pak, too. So that makes me 55% Indian and 45% Paki. Yayyy! All my relatives are also there.

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

ohhhhhh.... thats very nice.. yar.. and i hope tensions reslove so you could go more often to pakistan...

waise dont know why u cant visit pakis more often...just wondering...

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

Visa issues yaar. They don't issue it easily, as one would get visa for some gulf country or any other place. Plus, the political issues. I mean, you always live in this fear that a war might tke place between the two countries. And don't we all know how majority of Indians don't like Pakistan and how majority of Pakis don't like India. My own cousins hate India. :-|

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

We stayed in rawalpindi, islamabad, gujrat and lahore. Which places did you visit?

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

....

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

To be honest...I was born and raised abroad. My father was born abroad (UK) and my mom moved here (Australia) when she was just 13. All of my extended family is here also with the exception of dad's parents who are in Pakistan. My husband's parents and siblings and all his extended family are also in Pakistan. Me, personally, do not feel much of an attachment/belonging to Pakistan at all. For me, going on holidays there as well I find it quite difficult and I get bored there but have to visit grandparents (who also come here) nearly every 1-2 years and now obviously hubby's family. But for me it's difficult.

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

So then you're 50% Pakistani then. If your mom holds..Pakistani citizenship..she can easily apply for your residency as well. And welcome to GS MsDreamy!

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

Only people who stand out are in the circle :cheegum:

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

You are wrong. The only one who stands out is MsDreamy!

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

Then you need to find your way into the circle, there’s no invite. You need to find the door :barbie:

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

Well, to me the question seems to be, wut do i not miss about Pakistan?! The biggest thing i miss is its culture. I always luved its culture. The social activities. The gupshup, whether out on the street with neighbors or with friends at a chai ka hotel. Dont know if its still there but luv how people guide each other especially when someone is lost. And they try to tell even if they dont know it LOL.

And did i mention food yet? The amazing food in restaurants.. i try to avail it as much as possible when i visit. Luv it always.

and now i’m missing all that again :hinna:

Re: Pakistan! Pakistan!

Your circle’s too mainstream, and I don’t do mainstream! :zobo:
