What is this kind of a question ..... mean for god sake stop this ...... some will come up with stats (which proves pak have a better record than India) and other will argue the current form ..... since we've some very passionate followers of both sides (i count myself to this lot) it'll end up in:
1st. bashing each others national side (e. g. how they were spanked on this and that occasion)
2nd. since some players were outstanding in each sides wins so the bashing will continue to the point that this "bashing each others outstanding players" ends up into personal attacks like "go look back, get ur facts straight, the attempt to prove each other wrong with the aid of stats etc. etc. "
3rd. and final step will be "the mod comes into play" .... since ppl step over the barrier of rules and therefore from starting to delete some posts it will end up in locking the thread
U really wanna this ?????
If ur reply is yes then go back and satisfy urself with the records about such thread
Nothing personall yar but it always ends up like this

Thanks Umair :)
Zero_one_two_three.......bhai there is no harm to discuss arch-rivals performance in the past and comparing their current forms. Its cricket, a game.
i am kinda surprised at our test record. all this time i thought pak was a mediocre team at best in test arena. nice to see that we have a above average record.

^^ at last ball of the match if both teams have equalized the score with same number of wickets then its a tie.

now tell me one thing ...... how the heck do u DISCUSS facts as there will be no change after th discussion ..... i thought u can DISCUSS matters which r not always clear as a fact e. g. a LBW-decision but once a batsmen is BOWLED on a legal delivery (which is a fact) how do u discuss that ????? Praise would the right word for the bowler ..... i hope u got the point

Well then we are praising our countrymen. :)

well then my opinion why Pakistan has a better record than India is simply the fact that Pakistan had a more aggressive approach maybe due it's dominant fast bowling dept.

What about the batsmen?
You can't win matches without your batsmen, and India have plenty of world class batsmen and aggressive batsman.
The simple truth is, Pakistan has always been better then India, and the Indian team is highly overrated by their own media.

India have at the moment only one aggressive batsman in their ranks who regardless how high the target is plays his shots with little risk and high reliability ...... u all know whom i mean ..... but Pak have/had bowlers which went after wicket rather than defensive run saving approach ......
someone (i don't know the name yet) said about the `92 WC winning team that the better lost and the aggressive team won it

Umair, I would agree with you on this point. But India's current team looks slightly better than ours, with those 5 steelmen in the top batting order. It can further improve if Zahreer, Nehra and Patel/Phattan groom up with time.
On the other hand, Pakistan has no worries about the pace attack, they just emerge every now and than :) Alhamdollillah. On the batting side, its always been a place where we need improvement. But with recent findings like Taufeeq, Farhat and Hameed, we also have a bright future ahead.
So let see who improves more in next couple of years. The series between two countries will also be very interesting as both teams are pretty much balanced these days.

If you look at the current Pakistani batting order, there is hardly an agressiveness in the top order.
Even for the past couple years, the only permanent batsman coming to mind who was agressive was Afridi.
India has many agressive batsman in their team,
Tendulkar, Ganguly, Sehwag, Laxman, Yuvraj, and India has always had a reputation of good spinners, and with turning wickets @ home, their home record should be much higher then Pakistan.
While Pakistan's specialty has been fast bowlers on flat Paki tracks, but still we have the best record @ home while teams like Aus, WI, SAF, Eng have produced quality fast bowlers with lively track but their home record is way behind Pak.
