My mommy’s going to Pakistan for two months and I am very tempted to join her there for a few weeks. But it’s not everyday that I land up in the Asia Pacific region, and maybe I should rather be saving up to tour Japan and the surrounding regions like Singapore and Thailand. Those were my initial plans, but I really want to go to Pakistan. Its either one of the two, since resources are limited.
I went to Pakistan last December/January but I really wouldn’t mind going again.
Asia Pacific for certain. You can always go to Pakistan whenever you want. You might never be in this region again. Plus you are only there for 1 year right? So take advantage of the oppurtunity.
Cathay Pacific offers an awesome deal - ALL ASIA PASS. It lets you visit 17 cities for $1100(students 24, and under). The price is $999 if you sign up for their free membership. They give you a voucher for each city, and you simply use it to purchase a ticket. It goes to Karachi, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and an array of other cities. Unfortunately it departs from New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Toronto and Hong Kong only.
I beg to differ...I just returned from New Zealand after a 2 week vacation to Aukland, and surrounding areas...and its a gorgeous country. I especially loved the North Shore. As soon as I get some time...I will post some pics. Aukland is a great city...wonderful nightlife albeit...only on the weekends...people are nice.
Catty...I would visit Thailand...go to Krabi, its where the The Beach was filmed. And you definitely must visit Singapore.
Cat-woman, Yeah, you can go to Pakistan anytime and Far East areas wouldn't be problem when you go to Japan...so try some different and new place...
You’ve been to so many places.... how about sharing your views about different places...or telling us about places in South Africa...I mean in a new thread
:)
