A 24-member Pakistan hockey Olympic squad is due to leave for Alcala Real (Spain) mid-night Tuesday to take part in the tri-nation contest to be held there from July 29 to 31.
Led by forward Olympian Muhammad Nadeem ND, Pakistan team included 16 players, two reserve and six-officials which will travel en-route to Dubai and Zurich on its way to Alcala Real. Pakistan team Monday evening winded up its short training camp conducted in preparations for Athens Olympic. Pakistan will take on Argentina on July 29 and clash Spain on July 31 in tri-nation tournament.
Pakistan will have an over a week stay in Spain before flying to Athens on August 9. Pakistan will play a pre-olympic warm-up game against New Zealand on August 11 in Athens. Midfielder Imran Khan and forward Akhtar Ali are the reserve players of the team, who will be returing to Pakistan after tri-nation event in Spain.
