I dont see any problem with this squad but I think Sami Aslam is slightly overrated as we’ve seen his collapse in 3 innings in NZ so far. He may do good if we get a batting pitch somewhere like in adelaide.
Sharjeel should be given a chance. Now we know his inning will be shortlived. But he can score more than any player’s score so far in NZ.

they should forget about Hafeez, his failures are too much in batting in ALL these years.
I doubt if he can bowl the same as before even if cleared.
these “star” pakistani batsmen are only good on UAE pitches where they can score double centuries on batting pitches.
Any green surface and they give easy catch to outswing balls.
What about pathetic fielding? How many more dropped catches will we see?
Sadly those catch-droppers are still in team and no sign of them being kicked out. You can’t win tournaments or series like that.
Too much emphasis on misbah, younis and shafiq. Will we see pcb begging them to stay on until they’re 50?

The article states that Kamran Akmal was also considered. In what capacity ? I don’t think he could play purely as a batsman. We had long time ago tried that with Rashid & Moin. Umar Akmal on the other hand seemed like a bright prospect. If he was groomed the right way he might have turned out to be a good batsman.
Sami Aslam, while shows deficiency on the current tour should get a few more chances just because this is still early days in his career. I don’t know how effective Mohammad Rizwan would be in this line up. I think someone like Fawad Alam would have been a better choice.
As far as bowlers are concerned I think Junaid Khan should be given a chance ahead of everyone except Amir, Yasir & perhaps Wahab.

I think Pakistan should gamble a little bit and try Sharjeel at the top of the order. No one in the current Pakistani team can play the short ball better than him. We all know what the pitches will be like in Australia.
Pakistan have called up 17-year-old Mohammad Asghar as a back up for legspinner Yasir Shah in the Test squad in Australia. Yasir missed the ongoing tour game in Cairns with a back problem, which prompted the PCB to send the uncapped left-arm spinner Ashgar down under.

sir jee, kaya grooming karien umar akmal kee? matlab pant pehnana teach karien uss ko? tooth brush karna teach karien bachay ko? ya potty training karien umra akmal kee? matlab what kind of grooming he wants after 8 years of international cricket, and after playing 111 ODIs. he is a pathetic player temperamentally. Period. Give a player full chances for a year or two, but if he does not improve, then move on. period. You can give him 50 more chances. he will remain a pathetic player.
mohammad rizwan may surprise us. one of very few players in pakistan who can play short pitch ball with no fear. give him some chance.
wahab riaz is another wasted loser. complete wastage of a slot. he shd have been dumped long time ago. he is temperamentally weak, cannot bowl under pressure, has no variety except pitching it hard and short. but we keep on selecting him.
