Pakistani police are investigating a cabinet minister in connection with the death of a woman in Islamabad.
Communications Minister Shahid Jamil Qureshi “illegally detained” Kafila Siddiqui, a 40-year-old Canadian woman of Pakistani origin, her family say.
She was pronounced dead on Saturday after the minister took her to hospital in Islamabad. Cause of death is unclear and post mortem results are awaited. Mr Qureshi says she was a friend and he found her dehydrated in her room.
Interpol How Mrs Siddiqui, who ran a consultancy firm, died is unclear.
Mr Qureshi took her to Islamabad’s Pakistan Institute of Sciences hospital on Saturday, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
“She had bruises on her neck and chest,” Dr Farrukh Kamal told the BBC. But he also said that the bruises were not her cause of death.
The hospital authorities say they gave the results of a post mortem on Mrs Siddiqui to the police on 9 June. Police say they have yet to receive it. Im guessing he fell for her, got jealous of her and her husband and did what he thought he had to do. Kidnapp her, make her husband think she was cheating, make him divorce her and then whatever happens happens.
in February, her husband asked interpol to investigate her absence. They knocked on the house where she died, and the police were told she doesn’t live there. Then, after her death the Minister disappeared for a day and the house was locked.
yeah they probably had to clean the scene of the crime.

after they colluded in killing dozens in Karachi, amongst hundred's of disappeared, it's hardly an 'achievment'.
Also to be noted, the ministers police kept Isb police out from his house, govt could have stopped that if they wanted
Actually the minister wanted to get promotion.. afterall when the sindh governor has around one and a half dozen FIRs of killing then he has just stepped on the ladder... Its a long way for him...

The money was actually kickbacks from National Highway Authority contracts which this guy and the lady jointly gave to some people a steh reports say.. so here is one proof for you about numerous corruption rackets in the prsetnt Mush Govt. !

By the way, I am voting for suicide. Lets think about the circumtanses.
1. Husbad says there were no issues in their marriage. Can one of us leave their wife to live with a Pakistani politians, in his house, alone for 4 months?
2. Does she seem the kind that you can lock up in a house for 4 months where she can't contact anyone for help. Hard to believe.
3. Husbad calls the minister who tells him that "she has moved to Dubai." Don't you think husband will fly right away to Pakistan to find out why his wife will move to Dubai without discussing with him.
4. If minister is able to hide her for 4 months why couldn't he hide her body? Why will he take the body to PIMs and large notable hospital? Why not a local "friendly" doctor to make sure she is not dead.
I think marriage was over and she was trying to get with the minister who was already married. He wanted to have an afair but not a second wife. She got upset and OD on only available thing which was alchohal. Now, minister's arse is in the ringer.
If a minister can't fool around, who the hell can? And what was this good muslima doing living under the roof of the minister while being married to somebody in Canada? Canada should at once break off diplomatic relations with Pakistan.
