Pakistan: Middle order specialist batsmen

Younis Khan should be the batsmen you guys are talking about? A knock on him is he hasn't hit a century yet. But i don't think thats reason enough to bench him when his average is still pretty solid. With Inzi's decline our best batsmen is Youhana, Hameed and then Younis Khan but still he's ignored for a nobody like Saleem Elahi who constantly failed against average bowling while punishing teams like Namibia and Scotland etc.

I think both Younis Khan and Saleem Elahi should be benched, both are failures. Younis averages 31.xx in 96 matches, while Saleem averages 36.xx in 46 matches. A new guy should be given chances, but consistently.

if just average is your criteria then 36 in ODI is very good average..

If you are not shaking and shuffling, 36 is decent average. Comparatively, Saleem's average is better,

Player Mat Runs HS NO BatAv 100 50 W BB BowlAv 5w Ct St
Saleem 46 1488 135 4 36.29 4 8 0 - - 0 10 0
Younis 96 2508 90 13 31.74 0 19 1 1/24 99.00 0 46 0

but I'm not sure about pressure situations or "match winning knock"

Hummmm.... where is the question of shaking and shuffeling.. what I just said is that 36 is a good average and if you want only average to be criteria then Elahi shouldnot be dropped. Hey I didnt say that Younis should play or not. :D so take it easy.

f&b I know you didn't say that :) , but there are other guppies who oppose Saleem's presence because he is not confident looking, he shuffles and all that, thats why I said what I said.

i think we're thru with elahi n younis. kamal shd be one down n we shd consistently play him. we need someone to stabilize our fragile batting order.
