Karachi: The 2011 World Cup, scheduled in the sub-continent, ran into fresh trouble with a senior cricket board official in Karachi indicating that Pakistan might decline to play its matches in India.
Saleem Altaf, chief operating officer of the Pakistan Cricket Board, said PCB would take its time before deciding where it would play its 2011 World Cup matches.
“It is our right to decide where we play our World Cup matches now that the games have been relocated from Pakistan,” he said.
PCB officials and former players remain upset after the International Cricket Council decided on Friday to shift the World Cup matches from Pakistan due to security reasons.
If the 2011 WC Stays in Asia then all Pakistan matches should be held in either BD or in Sri Lanka, we should not & must not play our matches in India !.. And let’s hope our Board stays firm on this and force ICC to move our matches in either BD or in SL no way in India !..

Maybe Pakistan can play its matches on Mars
India is not the only country involved in this tournament and yes Pakistan should refuse to play the early round matches in India and if they reach semis and finals than what greater satisfaction than to play in front of the crowd who will be green with envy and jealousy seeing Pakistan play in the semis.

Let's not act like sore losers. The decision to move the World Cup away from Pakistan was justified. Unless going to India will be a security threat, Pakistan should not boycott the tournament there.

Do you think Pakistan team will be safe after what happened in Mumbai last year? I don't think our team should go to India at all. Pakistani team has faced death threats and what not even before that saga.

The World Cup is still 2 years away, so Indo-Pak relations might improve by then. However, if the security is still an issue, then definitely Pakistan should consider safety first.
India has always provided adequate security to the cricket teams, especially Pakistan. Pakistan lost this argument with the Sri Lanka team attack in Lahore.
