I recently got married and dont have a clue the stages in applying from within Pakistan at a British Embassy.
I know that my wifes snashy card has to be changed into her new married name taking my first name and then a pakistani passport has to be made and then she can apply for a visa with my own supporting documents, but what are these.
I find information about if your applying from the UK, but i heard this takes longer and is more complicated and its quicker within Pakistan and less hassle.
Can anyone provide links or know where I can get information from please?
I live in the US and got married here. In order for my wife to change her last name on her Pakistani passport, she had to get her name updated on the NICOP first. We applied for the NICOP last year in May and have not heard anything back from them. All e-mails are ignored. We have stopped worrying about it now. I did hear that the process is faster in Pakistan because all cards are made there. If you apply from abroad, there is that time where they send the applications in Pakistan, and then they send the cards back, so that takes a lot of time.
Anyway, this thread will most likely go off topic. I am moving it to another forum where you may get replies related to your topic. Good luck.
