i personally would like to see an end to lawlessness in around afghanistan, the difficult bit is how. certainly not like this. blowing up this place of learning and education is not the answer. how many of the people were actually militants? onething that is certain is a few mothers who sent their children to the school with the best of intentions are never gona see their children again. today is black day, musharraf and his militia need to be brought to justice for this. it has murder written all over it. he shouldnt be pak leader if he cant refrain from killing people. bugti was different by the way because only those with arms got hurt. but in general political activists should dealt with by peaceful means.

These were the students of Madrassah, all the people have seen the mutilated bodies of those students, as per Govt Official Statement there were no foreigners, how these students were a thread to the Nuclear State Pakistan?
They use schools as meeting grounds just like Iraqi insurgents use mosques to store ammonution and guns and then complain when those areas are targetted

there is no issue with madrassas as such. the topic has been discussed before. madrassas in their usual format should not be an alternative to regular schooling. madrassas can be enhanced to provide religious education as well as other instruction to students, that is great. there is also no issue with madrassas serving as supplementary religious education for kids who go to regular schools.
The problem is with specific madrassas that churn out thugs for extremist groups, whether these are groups that did their dirty work internally e.g. sipah e sahaba and lashkar e jhangvi etc or those that are linking up with other groups.
No issues with places that teaches kids about quran and sunnah, but massive issues with places that churn out extremists automatons or fanatical militants.
because in the big cities the terrists hoped they could hide and blend in, and aside from their close pals no one was protecting them. In the tribal regions the neo-tribals are supporting them as a policy. I am sure you know that these new tribal leaders actually systematically killed all the elder tribal leaders who were opposed to their agendas.
I ams ure if the tribals let the Pakistan law enforcement do their business and not get in the way (let alone support and hide these clowns) , then things would be done the same way they were done in the cities.
